100% Petit Verdot from the King Andrews Vineyard in Suisun Valley. 2007 vintage. Rustic and earthy initially, but quickly emerges with a potent mix of dried black cherry, blackberry preserves, purple flowers, mocha, and hazelnut. The noticeably plush mouthfeel allows the flavors to set while keeping the finish pushing.

Jul 21st, 2013Something outside our norm. Straight up Petite Verdot. That's little beaver in French. Deep rich color. Not as much tannins as expected. Says it will woo woman on the back. I'll let you know how that goes in an hour. Give or take three minutes.
