100% Riesling from Zind Humbrecht’s monopole site in Hunawihr, not far from Trimbach’s Clos St. Hune (within the Rosacker Grand Cru). Like Clos St. Hune, it sits on rocky Muschelkalk limestone soils, which allow this Riesling to develop wonderful concentration and minerality. Clean, precise nose with notes of smoke, citrus and minerals. Pure, focused, austere. Chalky texture. Racy acidity. Exceptional — 5 months ago
Good quality Alsace Rielisng for the money, if not the most exciting. Meyer lemon, wet slate, hint of petrol. — 6 months ago
Very ripe and fruity but balanced out with little residual sugar and minerality. Very impressive - everything from their introductory line but with the volume/intensity turned up while still maintaining its own unique structure and appeal — 6 months ago
Sweet and amazing!!
Souper fondue suisse à l'ameus avec toute ma belle gang de français;) merci Louis de l'avoir apporter au Québec! — 7 months ago
Yet again a great match for Sakana with Hsing/Mimi but this time Vollenweider provided good competition. The Omakase was same as last time, last day of the monthly menu so a good comp. Thought the food was actually a bit off compared to previous time but still what a great combo with the wines. — 2 years ago
Really a wonderful old Riesling. Last had 2 years ago and I think this is our last bottle. The color in the glass is amazing. The palate matches - so deep and rich but still with balance. Was probably overall better 2 years ago as more of the acid was still there but this is still excellent. — 6 months ago

Very sweet and tasty - 2017 — 6 months ago
Bright and deep gold. Abundant nose of spiced baked apple. Ushered in on the medium palate by firm, almost tannic backbone of oak and acidity. None of that hides the hides the fruit, instead altering it to an excellent accompaniment to a wide range of foods. Thanksgiving is, of course, a natural. Drink now through 2032. — 6 months ago
Green crisp Granny Smith, fresh lemon, cilantro, grass, glycerol, crushed wet stone on the palate. Fresh and zippy. Med+ finish. Intense and concentrated. Slightly tannic. Bone dry. — 7 months ago
Beautiful golden color and floral mineral complex notes followed by a lifted palate firm texture and long almost biting finish. Sweetness is all subsumed. Great with a variety of dishes from salmon sushi bake to roast chicken. Yum. Thirty one years young! — 9 months ago
Textbook Alsatian white. Dry, acidic, slightly chewy. Yum. Winestone. — a year ago
