Nice pair with steaks on a Tuesday night while @Philip Carpenter was waxing poetic on the virtues or Santa Barbara County during a Twitter wine chat. Join in to #WineStudio next Tuesday at 6pm PST to connect with Dan Kessler of Kessler-Haak and with Mr Tercero himself, Larry Schaffer, at the same time on Feb 23rd. — 10 years ago

When I tasted the new vintage, I told Dan his winemaking skills have gone to a higher plain. 100% estate fruit. Dan has constructed a pure, beautiful expression of what the Sta. Rita Hills is all about. Touch of earth, mushroom, chalky earth, strawberry. 100% consistency, with a touch of cedar, smoke. Such a beautiful combination of site and winemaking. — 11 years ago
I could drink this wine every day, it has all the concentrated dried fruit and long pallet. Wow- love this with Stilton blue. — 11 years ago

California fruit but nice acidity. I met the winemaker it is in my view one of the best wineries in AVA he also makes a great Riesling and his Pinots are great. Not the butter bomb. — 9 years ago
Hory Cow! Deliciously ripe fruit forward. Light with a smooth finish. Hands down the best 2013 I've had Not counting @Kokomo. Again, @K&L hook up! — 10 years ago

A superb scent of mountain flowers supports a sumptuous, yet acidic, mouthfeel of golden raisins, herbs, and minerals. This is a serious Riesling...do yourself a favor and drink it by itself. While best at correct temperature, it still satisfies at room temp. Wonderful! — 9 years ago
