Slight strawberry flavour, very sweet. Big fan. — 6 years ago
A New England Style IPA, the 'Julius' from Tree House absolutely brilliant. Displaying a fabulous orange haze, this begins with stunning aromas of orange, mango, tropical fruit, citrus zest and a dried herb character that explode from the glass. It possesses a medium body with a beautiful texture that gently floats across the palate. Fresh, juicy complex and utterly delicious this is a benchmark for premium IPA. — 6 years ago

Licorice nose and incredibly fragrant medium body. Hints of rose — 8 years ago
Last vintage from Bressler, grapes going to Anomaly vineyards now. Was on the customer list at the start for a few years and still have 01 and 02 (popped an 02 a year ago and it was great) in the cellar. Grabbed some 2014s at a great price. For Napa, Bressler was always worth seeking...premium valley floor fruit, Mia Klein winemaker, and under $100 release price.
1 hour decant (little sediment). A splended inky dark magenta color. On the nose: floral, sandlewood, black cherry and plum, cedar, vanilla marshmallows. Taste: Elegant and smooth, soft tannins with blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, with a spicy cedar medium plus finish....ready to go another 15 years. — 5 years ago

Förtrollande färg. Honung, saffran, torkade kryddor, nektarin och lite kex. Angränsar halvtorr men nog den ganska låga syran som lurar än. Oavsett, väldigt gott. — 7 years ago
Nose is herbal and gorgeous with huge minerality. Lovely sugar snap peas, some C.K. Some confectionary aromas and just a beguiling whirlwind of so many non fruit aromas it’s hard to pinpoint them. A feral element as well but is so clean, so pure. It smells like the cleanest nature scene you can imagine. Yes it smells like a Bob Ross painting. Juicy and very complex with just a waterfall washing feeling across the palate. The balance of the fruit, minerals, acid and texture is extraordinary. Such delineation and grace. Stunning wine. — 7 years ago
Last of the Sauvignon Blancs at Klein Constantia.
Light greenish yellow. Very fresh on the nose with white floral notes, a little nutty, lovely white and stone fruits as well as some gooseberries. Heavy acidity (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with citrus notes as well as some other lighter fruits and balanced throughout. Long finish. Drink till 2023.

Mia Klein knocked this out of the park!
#howellmountain fruit at its best, a superb expression of terroir in Napa which to me is usually oversold (and over-oaked). #miaklein #cimarossa #rivadiponente
Vivid red currants, cassis, a touch of mint and graphite, the palate is juicy, loaded with perfect balance, acidity and ripe, firm tannins that have started to mellow. This is from the western facing terraced slope of the property and was my favorite of the tasting way back in 2012. The cooler effect of a western exposure seems perfect in this vintage. — 10 years ago
I really love this wine, and bought several bottles after a SA wine tasting. Unfortunately I didn’t keep good notes, but I remember it being easy drinking and a good pairing with food or alone. — 6 years ago
Pleasant and smooth with light red meat dishes Spicy food will spoil the flavours. Reminds me of fynbos early Karoo morning. Magic — 7 years ago

Light greenish yellow with floral, lemon grass and green notes on the nose. High acidity (7/10) with a medium body. Granny smith apples on the palate with some lemon zest. Medium plus finish with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Drink till 2022.

2013 Charles Smith Klein Vyd Bordeaux blend
This is crazy good. one of the most delicious young can based wines i have had from WA. lots of fruit and concentration with good complexity. i have a few more bottles that i can't wait to taste in 4-6 years. this has the stuffing to last 15 easy but it won't need anything like that to reach greatness. run don't walk to find some. — 9 years ago
