Crisp, green apples, lemon zest, a bit of a hot finish but it settled with time. — 9 years ago
Unfortunately the last bottle from my cellar! Equally unfortunate is the fact of 2009 vintage being the last great Marques de Borba produced by JP Ramos(he is now too supermarketized im afraid). 2009 was an amazing Trincadeira harvest in Alentejo and one can truly see it in this baco. Definitely red meat with pepper which is what I'm just about to cook! — 10 years ago
Silky smooth. JP and JM - are you reading this yet? — 10 years ago
Another terrific beer from Jolly Pumpkin. Definitely improves with some time in the glass; much better on tap at the brewpub in Ann Arbor. Doesn't have the depth of the La Roja (which is by far my favorite JP), but still a great beer. — 11 years ago

Easter lunch at home with Dianne and Elva. Xmas present from JP Mauger. Magnum — 9 years ago
Paired with Oma and Harbison cheeses. sweet start but somewhat bitter finish. Oma cheese well balanced and firmly creamy. Harbison does not pair as well, leaves a bitter finish. Oma is a much better pairing choice — 9 years ago
Karl-Joseph Christoffel's 2013 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett is the Mosel at its finest: pure, finely chiseled and unbelievable elegant! It is a tribute to how Riesling blossoms on slate soils. Delicately off-dry, it is my top value pick for Germany in 2013. (JP) — 9 years ago
Thank you, JP!! Smooth, silky deliciousness! — 10 years ago
Beautiful sweet aromas of warm brown sugar, graphite, and black cherries. Similar on the palate with vanilla and sugar plums on the long finish. Not a hard edge to this wine. Silly smooth tannins. Awesomeness in a bottle. What u get when u take a vineyard that shares a fence line with screaming eagle and Russell Bevan as the wine maker. This hush hush wine has minuscule production — 10 years ago

Almost like a Lambrusco! Perfect with a slight chill and some sour bread, Harbison cheese smear, sun on face. Bliss. — 11 years ago
