12’ Love Jim Clendenen wines. Almost impossible to find a good Pinot Noir for $40 in Russian River Valley. For the money all of his wines are tough to beat. Except the overpriced Harbison wines that he produces. ( Russell Bevan makes Harbison Cabernets & Jim makes the others) IMO. Edit- Find a 2012 (at this price)that’s drinking this nice from the same area? This has many years left in the bottle! — 6 years ago
Karl-Joseph Christoffel's 2013 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett is the Mosel at its finest: pure, finely chiseled and unbelievable elegant! It is a tribute to how Riesling blossoms on slate soils. Delicately off-dry, it is my top value pick for Germany in 2013. (JP) — 7 years ago

Easter lunch at home with Dianne and Elva. Xmas present from JP Mauger. Magnum — 7 years ago
Paired with Oma and Harbison cheeses. sweet start but somewhat bitter finish. Oma cheese well balanced and firmly creamy. Harbison does not pair as well, leaves a bitter finish. Oma is a much better pairing choice — 7 years ago
Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especial. Nice drinkable sour ale of the JP tradition with some prominent dry cocoa flavor. Do not be fooled by the label of brown ale, which is generally the most disappointing beer style on the planet. Thanks to McCusker for hauling this and many other fine JP offerings all the way to California! — 9 years ago
