Winery is in CT. Grapes are from (and vinified) in CA. Dark cherry and vanilla on the nose and pallet. Silky and luxurious. Fruity but not sweet. Well balanced. 15.2% Alcohol. Pleasant surprise. — 6 years ago
The 2015 Pezat Red, Jonathan Maltus's entry-level red, is flat-out delicious. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit are front and center in this racy, open-knit wine. There is much to like, including the wine's very accessible price. I would prefer to drink this succulent Saint-Émilion over the next few years, while the fruit retains its youthful vibrancy. World's End is the Napa project of Jonathan Maltus. He's better known for his work on the Right Bank of Bordeaux as the owner of Château Teyssier and creating Le Dôme. The 2013 Against The Wind was sufficiently beaten up by more than one critic, but I was still surprised when I fished it out of a discount bin for $9... he's made a wine that Robert Parker scored 100... I think I'll take the risk... Juicy plum with blueberry are the focus, followed by some Hershey's cocoa powder and roasted red pepper, with some tertiary molasses and dried violet. — 9 years ago

Great, bold flavor. Slightly dry with a smooth finish. — 8 years ago
Sufficiently mature so as not make enemies with any palate (or bffs). Drink it if you got it now. Not much fruit left in the tank. What's left is dark. Deep purple in the glass. Mellow and soft now. Finish on the short side. Still, an enjoyable find. — 8 years ago

So impressed with this wine. Reasonable but taste expensive. Great aroma taste of bitter cherry mixed with ripe sweet grapes. Maybe dark chocolate. Try it — 9 years ago
Well structured and balanced wine; great density and silky tannins. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar and clove meet on the palette. Great find! — 5 years ago
Excellent, sightly thin, great with lamb. — 5 years ago
Deep dark garnet color. Nice dark cherry round fruit and depth here. Enough complexity with wood and earth. What a nice finish with firm long tannins that melt into a clean finish. Best merlot dominant wine I’ve had in a while. Had it with a NY strip at Capital Grille. — 7 years ago
Very good! Fruit bomb Bordeaux blend — 8 years ago

My first Israeli wine. Heavy sediment, benefited from a decant, opened up gradually over two hours. Nicely balanced cabernet blend. — 9 years ago

Drank the 2018 in November 2021 with sushi. Excellent apple and the touch of minerality that pared well with the seafood — 4 years ago
