Elegant. Rich, citrus, tropics, a touch of oak. Good acid, well balanced. Begs for a crab cake. Delicious. — 11 years ago

Although 2013 and very very young consuming at a restaurant we got to enjoy it a lot more as the time passed and it was decanted. This will be a beauty - shame but still lovely! — 12 years ago
Terrific. Deep golden in color. A sense of oxidation or maybe more like a sherry cask aroma. Dry. — 9 years ago
It's like butta, jiggy baby.

Nose is very complex, with a sweet musky component, cinnamon, ripe cherry, and cracked stones. Opens in a surprisingly lean fashion that initially shows little fruit but then transitions to pure cherry fruit and clean stony notes as the long finish progresses. Light bodied and with crisp acids. Very distinctive style.
UPDATE: Night 2: more traditionally Beaujolais-like on the nose, with the sweet muskiness receding and intensely granitic minerality and tart cherries in the fore. In the mouth, the pungency of the tart cherry fruit is almost SweeTart-candy-like. Mouth-watering acids in the long finish. Upping it from a 9.0 to a 9.2. — 10 years ago
