Tastes Great! All P/N should be this deep &
concentrated! No green stem or weak fruit profile here. Big time wine from Gary Pisoni’s
Santa Lucia Highlands Vineyard. If California had Grand Cru designations, the Pisoni Vineyard would be tagged! This 2011 Roar Pisoni is still a Baby 👶; with a long finish and great depth. Color “Cherry Cola” Nose intense!
If you haven’t had a Pisoni P/N, time to start!

“The most sweetly fruited and approachable, the 2011 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard has sweet strawberry, kirsch, underbrush, spice box and licorice aromas and flavors all soaring from the glass.” (JD) (8/2013) — 7 years ago

Very well balanced, that’s what stands out here. Nice ripe red fruit and very good minerality, long finesse finish. It kept getting better as it opened up. This one will age wonderfully. JD rated 99. — 6 years ago
Had this at a Thai restaurant with JD, Rosie and her friend. I loved it! It was a little tart and a little sweet, but refreshing and delicious! — 6 years ago
Just a gem for a JD 97 pointer at a reasonable price point. I drink this wine way too much! — 7 years ago
Solid effort for Oregon. Not a huge fan JD Division’s other stuff but this one is solid. — 7 years ago
Relaxing at JD Campground with Hayton Chardonnay from Ca. Great taste, dry, and smooth. Corked bottle. — 8 years ago
I liked this. Pineapple but not too sweet at all. Nice for summer with friendly chat. JD. — 9 years ago
Very lively JD with a ton of fruit. Smooth and a dry finish. — 5 years ago
I love Cayuse syrahs but this is a Merlot based Bordeaux style with ~ 50% Merlot and 40% cab franc which is a little like saying I feared a medium bodied wine - was I wrong - so so wrong - killer juice - it was a full bodied baby - almost like drinking chocolate covered raspberries- what a remarkable thing to say for I had to dive through the funk - tons of Aromas of earth, peat, savory herbs and dark flowers lead to soft, sweet, smoky flavors. The texture and richness keep the interest high - almost too chewy - but after a while the wine soften and the firmness was like a waterbed of joy and sin mixed together - JD gives it 95 - will drink fantastic now with a mid decant time and last 2 decades but not sure what bottle rest will do and I think Cayuse makes to drink their wines early on - big smile of approval rating — 7 years ago

Bright ruby color. Intense aroma. Tertiary aromas of forest already present. PN cherry is on the palate as well. More volume and structure. Mouth-filling, rich and harmonious. Tannins are very soft. Light bitterness on the palate. Very good quality wine from Grand Cru vineyard that contributes to the fresher and less masculine style than those of its neighbors. Ready to drink. JD traditionally ages such wines for 14-18mo in 20% new French oak barrels. Released in the market 3yrs after harvestedRating 4,0/5 — 9 years ago
