My wife and I had the 2011 after recommendation from her brother who is well versed on wines. This was a great wine with veal that we prepared at home. We had the pleasure of eating lunch at the family's restaurant in Vienna a few months ago and enjoyed the experience and personnel immensely. This is an intense wine but very smooth with plum, black cherry and other complex fruity flavors. In short a great Tuscan wine. We were able to get this for just under $90 at our local Total Wine store. We are waiting to enjoy the bottles of the 2012 that are in the wine cabinet. — 8 years ago
Red/garnet, intense, complex, full bodied, red fruit and spices, good tannins, long finish #ProduttoriDelBarbaresco — 11 years ago
Just a fantastic wine. Deep fruit with both primary and secondary characteristics. Intense nose. Long finish with just enough structure / acid to hold it together. Really singing - no need to wait longer. Can't imagine a better pairing with a mutton chop at Keens, it was perfect. — 8 years ago
So intense, so complex, so long, so elegant, so beautiful. Unlike other CDPs I've tried- more black fruit mixed with the blue, the finish more fruit than herbs. It was sort of cab-like. So much going on here. I loved this. A great birthday wine! — 9 years ago
Huge intense tropical citrus aroma that is super fruity delicious — 11 years ago
Pretty darn good. Not sure how it's "intense" but I'll happily have another glass. Or bottle. — 9 years ago
2007. Rich, intense, cocoa and pyrazines. Acid leads and lovely mid. — 11 years ago
This wine reminds me distinctly of a Muscat my grandfather produced in 2010; and the color is the first indication. Obvious extended skin contact, but low enough extraction to reach a lite-honey color. The nose is pungent and intense with tangerine skin wrapped in wild, homemade perfumes. The mouthfeel is giving yet tense, with slightly underripe mandarin orange and a twist of lime. Interesting wine. Authentic wine. — 11 years ago

Incredibly youthful that is both rich & dense showing black berry, cherry fruit, intense perfume of mineral & floral along with meat, blood, black pepper, olive, violets & licorice spice. I would give this a few more years in the cellar. — 8 years ago
