So I get it... you saw the 92 point score from Parker and splurged on this for $10 and then when your wife complained that it wasn't The Prisoner you wrote a scathing review (on vivino) about this thin, weak, and 'earthy,' wine with 'too much acidity.'
This is a Rioja in Barbaresco's clothing. Rose petal and tar dominate, with lots of juicy cherry, and a sandstone backdrop. A flutter of garden herbs creeps in over time. This is an excellent value for those who know what they're buying. — 8 years ago
Cant get much better than this. Unless youre getting some tangy sheep's cheese out to go with it... Well worth booking and visiting the bodega in Jerez too. Artesanal small-scale production with a personalised tour. — 9 years ago
This wine is perfect when you are looking for a Sauvignon Blanc with more muted pyrazines. The flavor profile skews heavily towards mineral, stony, and dusty notes, rather than vegetal or fruity flavors. Think Muscadet in Sancerre clothing! — 9 years ago
Looks, probably made like a natural wine. Slightly cloudy, crazy light red -- until you hear the story of how it's made. Skin contact pinot gris. Sheep in wolf's clothing. Smol funk, teasings of aromatic whites here and there, interesting tannins. Breathing brings out a little more savourinezs — 7 years ago
This is a baby but what a freaking baby it is! Maryland Monroe in sheep’s clothing?? It took at least an hour and a half to develop and sneak up on you but once it did you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. It was amazing! I had a 1990 version of this a few weeks ago and can only imagine what this will develop into. Thank you Jason for turning me onto this blockbuster wine! Love you brother!@Jason Chang — 7 years ago

This was drinking great. Vibrant purple color, even at 10 years of age. Smoky and stony, with both a Syrah like aromas and a structure more like Gamay. It perfectly pins the expected aromas of a "mountain" wine with hints of wild herbs in the finish. Should be spectacular with an aged sheep's milk cheese like Ossau Iraty. — 9 years ago
The nose flexes it's minerality muscles right away, while also bringing white cherry, white peach, unripe strawberries still on the vine, and white pepper. Doesn't quite prepare you for the unruly palate. A spice bomb, layered with white/unripe fruits and M+ finish of acidity. A wolf in sheeps clothing. — 9 years ago
Young and impressively lean Nebbiolo - barbaresco in sheeps clothing, with subtle spice and fresh leather aromas — 8 years ago
Past reviews are spot on. This is a 1er cru mersault in AD clothing. Nose that is simultaneously brown butter and hazelnuts while at the same time having intense liquid rock minerality. Fruit very much in the back on the nose. On the palate more fruit - lemon with lemon pith - but dominated by mersault-like nuttiness. Great texture. Ends with a drying, pithy note that portends a more Impressive wine to come — 8 years ago
Riesling in Chenin Clothing. Roasted nuts, almonds, some wooly fresh hay, spices, yellow fruits. Very complex. Palate is complex and super zippy. Insanely concentrated and powerful. Very pure and over 2 days still very structured. Very clean. Excellent. — 9 years ago
A wolf in sheep's clothes. Might say it's a Montsant but it clearly tastes like a Priorat. — 9 years ago
Bought at a cool little combination vintage clothing shop/natural wine store in Tallinn. Super hip, I know; sue me. Natural Loire Valley (this is VdF but I'm pretty sure this producer is located in Touraine and I'm guessing the grapes are at least mostly sourced from there as well) rosé bubbles consisting of a blend of Grolleau and Cab Franc. Semi-sparkling/frizzante. Unfiltered, a quite small amount of sediment is visible floating in the bottle. Not sure whether or not this qualifies as a pet-nat since the production method isn't totally clear from bottle info but it fits the character of one regardless of production method. A bit funky but delightfully so and its not over the top at all. Slightly unripe wild raspberry and strawberry, some funky yeastiness that's almost lager-esque (also pours like a beer as well in terms of bubble texture/level of carbonation), a tiny bit of heavy cream, and wet granite and quartz stones, not unlike the stone of the beach of the island we just left (Hitis in the Finnish archipelago) where we spent a few days at my favorite place on earth, my family's shared summer cabin. Overall, somewhat like a sour beer in overall character, in a really cool way. Med. (+) acidity keeps it juicy and fresh. Super yummy. Great pizza wine. — 9 years ago

Wines are more fun and taste better coming from a 3L. 11 ladies at a clothing swap killed this in the first hour. — 6 years ago
