A solid cab, ripe fruit, hints of green herbal and vegetal notes. I ain’t mad at it. — 7 years ago
A truly amazing tasting hosted by non other than Rob Greer!!! We loved hearing the history of his vineyard and his transition from making what he called “Fun” wine to making “Fine Wine”. If he was shooting for simply fine he completely missed his Mark. This one was absolutely unequivocably Superb!!!!! Wow., his 14 was balanced., balanced, balanced. Seamless integration and a touch of oak which doesn’t over power the wine. This was Badass in a Glass for sure!!!!!!
I was lucky enough to have been introduced to Greer wines by Howard Greenfield a few years ago. I’ve never looked back and say YES SIR to my entire allocation on a yearly basis. If you haven’t had Greer YOU MUST contact Rob and pick up a 3 pack. Believe me.,you won’t regret it!!! It will do you proud when you pour it for your family and friends🙌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🙌. @Howard Greenfield @Jason Chang @Kirk Alexander @Dov Eidelman @Tania Rodriguez — 7 years ago
Varietal characteristics. Dark fruits, some spice and pepper. Strong tannins, but still smooth. Drinking well now but could happily sit another few years. — 7 years ago

Opening salvo in a night of delicious dinner courtesy of Howard Street Wine Merchants and Chef @Paul Kulik , the energy behind Le Bouillon. Our dinner guest was our friend John Paine from Rosenthal. Tonight was an evening of Burgundy, which outside of Chablis and Beaujolais, has always been a challenge for me. This was a delicious opener, if not an outlier. Regardless, a really tasty wine with bright red fruits of notable freshness. Not super complex but unique and always fun to drink Sancerre Rouge. — 6 years ago
A phenomenal prelude to a bad ass evening! The only thing that could’ve made it better is if all of you guys were here! 😂 @David L @Shawn R @Mike R @Joe Lucca @Ron R @Shay A @Howard Greenfield — 7 years ago
Howard said this might be the last bottle of this wine in Chicago. I remember drinking it back 4-5 years ago and thinking that it was so delicious. Still doesn’t disappoint today. Chablis pc like flavors, saline with good backbone and perfumed on the nose. Great — 8 years ago

Recommendation from Howard Wine Cellars — 9 years ago
I found this to be a very enjoyable wine. I was hoping for a little bit more Oak. I'm not quite sure how it would evolve over time. I always find these to be a great pop and pour wine. I never hang on to them too long in my cellar.
I would love feedback from anyone that has aged some of these to see how they evolve.@Ron R @Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Howard Greenfield — 9 years ago
Wonderfully complex champagne that keeps opening up. Great gift from Howard. — 7 years ago
It held beautifully
I personally thought was 15 years younger
Lots of scents
From a dark fruit like blueberry and plum to spices like cloves and cinnamon; leather and cigars box too.
Looking for weaknesses I’d say it doesn’t have a long finish, not extremely intense on the nose( is that really a fault?) and maybe it is a bit too much on the oaky side, but altogether very enjoyable wine. Colour was misleading, still ruby and garnet, just a slight glimpse of orange on the edge. Thanks @Mauro Gabriele — 7 years ago
This will take a bunch of you by surprise but this is my absolute first bottle of 2012 edge Hill Bacigaluppi that did not literally blow my mind! I consider this one of the top five Chardonnays that I have ever had from Napa and I’ve had a lot of Chardonnays from Napa! It was not Corked but definitely fell 100% flat tonight. No depth, no structure simply fruit. I had friends at the house and was trying to impress them But literally threw this bottle down the drain and open to something else. Oh well, shit happens as they say! @David L @Shawn R @Joe Lucca @Mike R @Ron R @Howard Greenfield @Shay A — 7 years ago
Merlot monday. Solid 30 dollar wine from napa.
Preparing my wine contribution for saturday's festivities. Showing some friends around livermore wineries so picked out some wines to show the terroir. These are my top 5 livermore wineries. And a couple napa wines for dinner as well.

Black fruited, sandy tannin, oak driven spice. Gorgeous Marg river cab sav and would have rated higher but toward the end the oak started to distract a little. — 9 years ago
