2001 vintage. Not decanted. Nice fill and cork. Youthful nose of eucalyptus/spearmint and orange peel. Medium-medium heavy body. Just so fresh. Tasted more like a 3-4 year old Burg instead of a 24 yo one. Excellent length of finish filled with sandalwood/tree bark, clove, cinnamon and raspberry. This specimen needed another 15-20 years to “grow up.” 05.28.25. — 2 months ago

Great bottle! No 🐞 problem with this one. Quite complex and in a very good way right now. — 4 months ago
Lovely smell and full mouthfeel. A real kick from the tannins to end it off (a tad too much without food). — 2 years ago
This may go down as red wine of the year for me. Which given the time of year and upcoming events is High Praise indeed. But none the less reality. Epic nose. The unmistakable smell of a slaughterhouse over summer. Meat and blood. A huge hit of licorice, leather, and smoke and cherries. The Finish lasted nearly a minute, and had a Mossy granite tone to it that reminded me of climbing in the gunks in the fog. Amazing. So fortunate to have been asked to share this with great friends. #poolwine — 7 years ago
For a village wine from this weak vintage, this is sensational. — 11 years ago

This was youthful, structured with big, ripe red, black fruit & violet — 2 months ago
Initially nice with red fruits, opening up with more forest floor after about 15 mins. 30 mins later, the heat of the vintage comes out. So, really enjoyable, but only for a pretty narrow window of time. — 7 months ago
We drunk three Vougeot over the last two days. A 2014 chateau de la tour, a 2009 le moine and now a 2008! Meo Camuzet.. it only shows how tricky this cuvée is. Too big, too uneven, too many producers, always expensive. This is right in the middle, same fruit as the 2014, same roundness as the 2009. This is an outstanding Vougeot, fresh, fwd fruit and great complexity. — 6 years ago
Delicious straight from the bottle! — 2 months ago
When you see DRC on the label it’s difficult not to have preconceptions. The nose pops with red cherries ,stems and spice. The palate is hit with weighty red and black fruit which carries a healthy dose of acid. Surprisingly lacked the complexity and finish I was hoping for from a vintage like this let alone the producer. — 4 months ago
“Tart” Not pungent - not strong alcohol taste - 2014 - acidic like grapefruit — 5 years ago
A little hot and disjointed at first, but a little air and bloomed very nicely. Some grass, red fruits, velvety texture. Very nice for a village — 10 years ago
