ordered at On the Waterfront, absolutely delicious right out of the bottle — 4 years ago
Great wine. Lots of fruity flavor. Robust and rich. Paired perfectly with beef Wellington. $21 — 4 years ago
This is just ridiculous. Act 7. Tastes of deep figs/plums up front as if grandma just baked a pie in your mouth. Finished smooth with a tiny bit of spice and more jams that make you want to cry. More of this please. — 6 years ago
Gentle spice and oaky. A soft leather feel and content on the tongue — 7 years ago
Juicy and the right amount of acid for me to keep me engaged. Cherries and plums are the prominent combo I’m getting here. — 2 years ago
Nose is dark red fruit with blackberry, blueberry, and cooked strawberry. Palate is dark cherry, cooked strawberry, ripe blackberry, rhubarb, ripe fig, caramel, cola, oak, cedar, mushroom, green pepper, cinnamon, and truffles. Medium tannins, high acid, medium alcohol, and long finish. An outstanding Chinon. — 2 years ago
Top notch amazing Malbec — 5 years ago
Dark ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, chalk, leather, and strawberry. Medium-high tannins and medium-low acidity. Soft and juicy (which suggests another varietal included with the Cabernet Sauvignon). Nevertheless very approachable and dangerously drinkable. — 6 years ago
My kind of Malbec-excellent balance, emphasis on freshness, acidity, but the black fruit shines as well, alcohol completely in check. My go to wine shop thought this was their best malbec (out of many) & I agree — 7 years ago
Dark crisp ruby red in the glass and a nose full of blackberry, bright plums and cocoa. Medium tannins and nicely structured. On the palate it was very aromatic with sage, lavender and rose and a medium to long finish. This is a winner. Love Ladera and the Cabs are world class. — 8 years ago
Smells like peak market pricing, high viscosity — 2 years ago
What a joy to find this bottle at a NYC steakhouse. It’s been a while. Initially turned on by these ancient Lebanese vineyards and organic practices. And blending fruit that we are Las Jaras use. Drinking well for being a ‘16. VA a bit high but reminiscent of some wilder Barolo — 2 years ago
Fantastic light but fantastic pinot taste — 3 years ago
Pen ink? People keep saying that about wine. Sure. Pen ink. A nice spice — 4 years ago
Very good wine at an excellent price! Way more complex than what I expected. — 5 years ago
This one comes from a certified sustainable farm, with blackberry and dried cranberry character, a bit sweet and fruity at the end which makes it perfect for drinking by itself, it won’t go wrong with a nice steak! — 6 years ago
Surprisingly delicious! — 7 years ago

A highly awarded Grenache from Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale, possibly the best terroir for the varietal in Australia. Its gnarly old bush vines were planted in 1946. It is dry farmed on a 1.7 hectare block sitting on the deepest sand with the lowest vigour and yield. Not as raspberry as many Australian Grenache - more balanced, restrained and excellent. Wine of the Year at the 2020 Halliday Wine Awards receiving 99 points. On the medium weight palate red berries and cherry finishing with ultra fine tannins. Jancis made the comment, “Might give the odd cult Spanish wine a run for its money too.” — 10 months ago
