So. Good. Bobby Stuckey is my hero. Wonderful, easy drinking and refreshing. Hints of grass, honeydew and melon with a mineral flair. Maybe a hint of truffle. — 10 years ago
Another grape I don't know much about (Pallagrello Nero). The wine is a lot racier and loud than I was expecting (especially given it was retailing for less than 20 usd). But the flavors seem more floral/rose-petaly/spicy/clovey rather than fruity/chocolate/vanilla. Lot of tannin. I chose the wrong dinner to make. This wine is going to curb stomp my pasta. Terrific wine though! — 10 years ago
Merlot, the unsung hero of Carneros. Tannins and acid to go the distance. Powerful primary and secondary flavors that lift out of the glass and demand attention. It's making my bone-in-ribeye feel inferior and reminding me why I pursued a career in wine. Okay, I'll stop now:) — 11 years ago
Another brilliant selection from Charles Neal. Perhaps he is my hero. — 10 years ago
New favorite Malbec! 💕 — 10 years ago
Michel Niellon has long been a rather unsung hero in Burgundy and this '93 Batard was proof of that--so fresh and perfectly focused that it stands along side the likes of Leflaive et al--GLORIOUS! — 11 years ago
Randy Dunn… You're my hero! — 12 years ago

Opera of raspberries. Had different experiences with this cuvée in the past, but this one was singing out loud! Poured by Sébastien himself in the cellar while he was still pressing the just harvested new vintage of Raudonas. He even took the time to put a fantastic plate of charcuterie on the table. Straight up hero! — 10 years ago
Went to this place in Paris 14th,
Hard working owner, my hero...
Like usual, after drinking Chenin blanc we needed something else,
Private stash...his last bottle...real class!!!
The wine is exceptional, dark cherries, dry orange, what a great time and great wine!
Thank you!!! — 10 years ago
Pull the cork, and release the ancient power that melts the evil and leaves the hero. Just don't open your eyes. — 11 years ago

Jim Clendenen is my hero. Fantastic. — 13 years ago
Tom Yamaoka
Got some big new French oak, strawberry hay, dry clay, and spiked fireball candy on the nose. Ripe dark fruit right away, big tannins, this big boy needs some time to develop. Maybe a hint of cocoa on the finish after some time. Hopeful this will grow into a mature hero. — 10 years ago
