Deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of ripe berry fruits, pepper spice with earthy tones, 100% ,Tempranillo, aged for 24 months in American and French oak. On the palate flavors of plum and jammy cherry, tobacco, oak, pepper spice, lively acidity. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and an earthy character. Nice! — 2 years ago
This Rioja blend needs to be open a long time before consuming. Once it settles down, it is a great wine. So complex and rich. Definite fruity Grenache notes mix with deep Tempranillo. A great wine. — 4 years ago

Red and dark berries on the nose. Along with a dark tea and some earthiness.
On the palate tart fruit quickly giving way to spice. Then the tannins start to grip and introduce some savory notes.
Finish is a bit bitter but in a way that is inviting more food/drink.
Exceeded my expectations. — 3 years ago

The flavor profile is kind of like Cab Franc, with notes of dehydrated strawberry (like Special K red berries), mushroom, and a kiss of oak. Medium bodied. Wonderful acid, and still had some tannins. — 5 years ago
Outstanding flavor, smooth, smelly. — 6 years ago
Absolutely wonderful. Nice vanilla bourbon on the nose. A gentle and easy sip while still feeling aged. Fruity as well. So wonderful. Great with Unami & Dijon Turkey burgers! — 6 years ago
Grande. Cuerpo de hombre en un vino de 3 años. Muy intenso, rojo brillante con tonos oscuros. — 8 years ago
Named after family’s original parcel, “Locartas” is a highly expressive ambassador for the Güímar valley’s distinctive volcanic sands. The blend comprises eight individual parcels throughout the valley, planted nearly entirely to Listán Blanco (with 2-3% Albillo Criollo). Vinified in stainless steel and aged for six months in 90% steel and 10% French oak. Medium lemon color, aromas of fruits and nutty notes. Flavors of ripe apple and apricot, medium+ finish ending with fruit and savory salinity character. — 2 years ago

Very tasty. Sweet roses, vanilla, baked bread, and very ripe red fruit. I’d drink this daily...as long as it pairs well to food. I’m curious how this will develop with age. — 6 years ago

Without all the wood, I thought, for a minute, maybe I do like Tempranillo. — 8 months ago
