Not too sweet. Doesn't give me a headache. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Killer. Absolutely killer. Acidity forward, petrol undergirding a really nice structure. So, so good. Dry, but not bone dry. — 7 years ago
There's a lot going on in this wine. Light crisp tropical mineral. — 8 years ago
Delicious and hedonistic. Rich textures and dark fruit. Some leathery like aromas with hints of herbs — 9 years ago

We had the pleasure of opening the 2021 Hermann J. Wiemer.
On the nose there was nice strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, herbaceous notes and green bell pepper.
On the palate there was good strawberry, raspberry, red plum, green bell pepper, a bit of oak and crushed gravel.
This is a medium bodied wine with light velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins that leaves with a medium to medium + red fruit gravel dust finish. Well it looks as though spring can't make up her mind. This weekend looks to be a bit on the cooler side so lets get out and enjoy ourselves. Please stay safe and healthy. Like a beautiful bouquet of roses and lilac. It's always rosé season at Sheldrake. — 9 years ago
Love the sweetness of this wine. Not over the top. Just the right amount for a sweet red. Delectable and mouthwatering. — 9 years ago

A bit boring out of the fridge, was clearly too cold. But when it got closer to room temp this was really pretty good. Bit of that lychee goodness coming through, nice chalky minerality, and a nice finish. — 10 months ago
