Can't believe I've held on to this treasure for so long! Cedar and sandalwood on the nose. Silky with a bright and savory--almost vegetal--finish. Perfect with filet and steak-house style garlicky creamed spinach. These grapes were picked when I was still in high school! — 9 years ago
Sometimes you don't want to analyze, and just enjoy. This was one of those moments. — 10 years ago

For the price it was great. — 10 years ago
Had it with some Alta Langa Carboncino goat cheese. Really really good pairing. The wine has licorice and cherry notes with a little spice from the Syrah. Very easy and enjoyable. — 11 years ago
$17 very bold, slightly earthy but smooths strong fruit but not aweet — 12 years ago
Consumed 11/2017. I have rated this wine before, but the bottle had a different description so I am adding this one as well. When I try to look back at my previous ratings, I can’t figure out how to see what year the vintage was. That could be why the description on the bottle is different.
Robust flavors of ripe berry fruit meld harmoniously with smoky oak and subtle hints of eucalyptus and the earth. An elegant Cassis note complements the long, noble finish. — 8 years ago
Acorn wine is hard to come by; a relatively small producer that produces wonderful field blends. — 9 years ago
My first Chantanuef-du-Pape. Light, wispy nose of sliced red apple and subtle cranberry, with some calcium underneath. Light bodied and well balanced with bing cherries and soft, but present, tannins. — 10 years ago
Always a good bet — 11 years ago
Love this vineyard and really like this wine. Going to let the rest of my bottles rest for a few months before trying again. — 12 years ago

Great vintage for GL just a point or two below their 82 showing an old school styled Bordeaux with black berry, red currant, cedar, leather, damp soil, mineral, dried herbs, soy, mineral, sweet tobacco & cigar ash. — 7 years ago
