The 2016 Syrah Watch Hill Vineyard is dense, powerful and super-concentrated. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, menthol, licorice and spice notes are all amped up in this rich, beautifully resonant Syrah. This needed a 2 hour decant. Nose of figs, blueberry pie that is heavily spiced with clove. Palate is lovely with more baking spice, stewed fruits, blueberry jam, and some good tannin. 100% Napa but great in that style. — 4 years ago
