It explodes from the glass with gregarious allspice and nutmeg notions over a core of warm peaches, guava, and pear tart with suggestions of gingerbread and toast. Medium-bodied, the palate is much more elegant and restrained than the nose suggests, delivering seriously minerally notes and loads of freshness, finishing long and chalky. — 3 years ago

Cved 12/24/20. Dark garnet color. Nose of ripe fruits and a bit of vanilla carrying over to palate with warm embracing palate and bits of creamy oak. Very well made modern style Zin and big contrast to older and more classical Topolos. — 3 years ago
2015 - Luscious honey nectar like bouquet, golden hue, medium heavy body, slightly acidic, pineapple notes, medium long finish. — 4 years ago
It’s a very rich style chardonnay, but it’s unapologetically delicious. Professional scores have it as high as 97 and the purity of fruit along with the deft use of french oak and balanced acidity are certainly deserving. It strikes a nice balance even with everything amped up and an alcohol level of 14.6%. Only 326 cases made, if you see a bottle in the wild drink it! — 4 years ago
Quite fine from start to finish drinking beautifully now. $45. — 8 months ago

Blackberries and soft spice on the nose leading into flavors of mulberries. Delicious blueberry and white pepper finish. Decent structure and an excellent Zin. — 3 years ago
Coffee, vanilla, plums, raisins on the nose. Light to medium fruit with hints of coffee, caramel, toasted oak, and a hint of tannins. This has a nice balance of fruit, spice and tannins, but is a little light for my taste. This bottle is quite enjoyable, but Hartford has others that are better. — 3 years ago
Selection from the wine list at Opal Restaurant. Lively and pleasant aromatics of raspberry, clove, and black tea. Soft tannins on the mid-palate with charm.; leading to a nice medium finish. This is more of a pleasant wine than a special occasion selection. Perfect for dinner out on a school night. — 4 years ago
