Outstanding quality wine, rich and concentrated yet driven by a good freshness and a mineral core. offers some maturity yet dominated by an intense fruit and balanced portion of oak. .Good presence on the palate with a harmonic fade out throughout a long finish. — 6 years ago
At a very good stage of maturity: balanced, harmonic and with the perfect degree of acidity (according to my personal taste of course). — 7 years ago
Dark berries, minerality and black pepper on the nose. Delicate dark fruit on the palette. Balanced tannins. Harmonic finish. — 7 years ago
Harmonic, Italian, fresh, bright, lean, flavorful — 8 years ago

Sweet jammy at first, strawberry, peppery black currant, Then spicy, earthy, salty. Wild and elegant and harmonic alltogether. Such a complex smoothness from this rough, energetic climate and sparse, rigid land. Mineralic. — 9 years ago
The pleasure of this wine is much greater than it's technological evaluation or rating. You simply can't decant a wine any length of time in an effort to duplicate the evolution that takes place in a bottle over nearly 20 years. There's just no faking that. The softness, elegance or complexity. The fruits load ripe and juicy and transition into dry. The fruits are older; blackberries, black cherries, stewed plum, raspberries and pouched strawberries & pomegranate. The leather is soft as suede, graphite reduction, dry stems, dark, rich earth, & dry stones. The acidity is perfect as is the harmonic balance of fruit & earth. The tannins are nicely resolved along with the structure. The 98 is somewhere just passed it's peak moment. The finish is smooth and elegant but with the steak, the score jumps to a 9.2 as the blackberries & black cherries really pop with the steak. This is a recent purchase at K&L for the ridiculous price of $25. I would rather drink this than any Cabernet old or new world from 10.11,12,13 or 14. Pessac really out shined Bordeaux as a whole in 98. — 9 years ago
A really exciting wine with rich aroma: tobacco, leather, ripe black fruits, fig, dark chocolate and vanilla. Palate is harmonic with nice tannins and acids and a long pleasant stay. Highly recommended! — 5 years ago
Decent tannins, spice, hint of vanilla. Drinking very nicely now, but don’t think there is enough acidity or tannin for this to last for the long haul. Very nice drinkable wine now, though. — 6 years ago
Juicy and vibrates like a harmonic symphony — 7 years ago
Round & harmonic. Sweet and noble tannin. plums, mild licorice, sweet spices. In a wonderful spot now already but with plenty of longevity. — 7 years ago
Congrats Philippe Gimel for this beautiful L'Argile 2010!
One of the best L'Argile we had!
Much Kirsch and dark berries in the nose, some licorice, chocolate, forest floor and floral aromas like lavender and as Jeb said dried flowers.
Harmonic mouthfeel and a fresh very long finish. — 9 years ago
2020 very good. Harmonic and elegant Chablis. — 9 years ago
Fresh-no sugar- blueberry pie of a nose.
Well crafted, heavier bodied wine, unified berry blend, blue and black fruits working together in unison, a harmonic balance. Iodine and gravel carried this wine to the inevitable end - of high acid and new barrel like tannins.
Absolutely Lovely. A bit young, sometimes I cannot help myself. — 6 years ago
The decision to hold this wine until ready made me think of a musician tuning a guitar. He’s turning the keys and plucking the top two strings until the A and the E are the same. And then he strums a heart melting deeply harmonic E chord.
I imagine this wine was tasted, tasted again, then when everything was in tune, magic happens and it’s time for sharing.
It’s glowing gold. Burnt popcorn kernels. Honey. The sweetest indulgent peach preserves. — 7 years ago
Very pure and elegant. Charming black fruits. Excellent persistency. Ballanced and harmonic. You can drink a lot and not get tired of it. — 7 years ago
I can’t think of a Rhône white I’ve enjoyed more than this one. So unique. Nose has fresh mint leaves , lanolin, yellow tropical fruits, musky flowers, and stones. Richly extracted but with beautiful balance, the flavors linger. Mineral and fruit swapping dominance in a harmonic wave. It’s almost tannic, which suggests significant skin contact. — 8 years ago

Color is light, clear, sort of like green tea. Nose of spice, quite powerful in nasal cavity, peaty flavor, fermented grains, and subtle apple&mango note. Taste is a dance of three main flavors, sweetness, peat, and spice. Very harmonic. You can feel she is young but the depth is nice compared with aged ones. Some fermented grains, and flowering note on the second wave. Aftertaste of peat, slight bittersweet peel, and flowering note, Oh, you can feel her strength too. This is a well made whiskey on par with top distillery from the west. — 8 years ago
2011 La Montagne blanc.
Beautiful golden colour. Very harmonic in nose and mouth. — 9 years ago

Sweet smell of quince. Almost porty in the beginning but very harmonic 2 days later. Delicious freshness of green apple while the alcohol is still very present. — 5 years ago
