This is a great wine and one of the prettiest I've opened in a long time. Not the best, not the most cerebral. Just gorgeous.

The aromatics in particular. Belting choir of thick fleshy dark red finger staining cherries reaching the upper registers of my nostrils way back deep. Ripe red cherries and potting soil, cedar, rosemary and salt-lick limestone. Harmonic and forming the softest sweetest landing.

Challenging but absolutely worthwile chenin. Reductive at first it opens up rather quickly. Ripe fruits ... pear, apple a little citrus. A vibrating and soft acidity on the palate paired with herbal and interessting bitterness. Very harmonic. Easy drinking for people, who had enough easy drinking. — 2 years ago
