Do not let the rating for you, this was a totally fun and thoroughly enjoyable CabSauv!! Such delightful nuance in the decidedly medium weight mid-week winner. Set aside the varietal expectation and you will discover a balanced and articulate food enhancing/cleansing wine. Made at Wine Works, this estate only champ is worthy of having a case on hand! — 5 years ago
From the western edge of Champagne, in the hamlet of Drachy, the Fallet family has been growing grapes since at least 1610. This rosé is half and half Meunier and Pinot, and has lots of texture, brambly fruit balanced by a virile and bright finish. It was excellent with our smoked trout soufflé! — 7 years ago
Deep purpley red
Light, sweet nose, sweet red fruits
Soft and balanced taste, with an edge of sharp redcurrant or even lemony acid on the tip of the tongue
Tight tannins balance those tart and high, fresh, almost meadowy flavours
This isn't a wine that says 'look at me!' but a wine that coyly winks 'come and get me big boy'

The Poggio dei Gorleri Albium is the more complex wine compared to its little brother, the Cycnus. The wine producer Poggio dei Gorleri, from the small hamlet Gorleri, is located high above the Ligurian coast near Imperia, called the Ligure di Ponente, Italy. This area is the only part of the Ligurian coast where the Pigato grape is produced. The wine is 100% Pigato, a minerally, salty, very fresh white wine with lots of white fruit, apple, pear, some peach, fine herbs and a long finish. Only 3,000 bottles produced. — 4 years ago
The proverbial “5 Wood” to play when you need steady and precise. Wonderful 2 varietal waltz of fluid precision and Elegance. Not hyper-charged in tannin or acid, this super plush and refined winner was a perfect match for lamb sausage. Well grown Virginia Hamlet!! — 4 years ago

Earthy, elegant single-vineyard Barolo from the Bricco Luciani vineyard (in Piemontese dialect, bricco is the top of a hill, the portion with maximum sunshine) in Annunziata hamlet, to the west of La Morra, an area known for a lighter, more aromatic, approachable style. Crimson with orange hue at the rim of the glass. Brooding cherry. Subtly perfumed with notes tar, dark spice and licorice characteristic of the Nebbiolo grape and maybe hints of sloe (pacharán liquor). Long, sandy tannins. Intense — 4 years ago
Sori' is Piedmontese dialect for the sunny south face of a hill. 'But' or Butti is the name of the hamlet where Anna Maria and her husband Franco's house and cellar is located. I wish I could have this as my "table" wine. This Dolcetto is red with purple edges, light acidity notes of fresh blueberries. Brought back memories of my Nono's rustic wine. — 7 years ago
