Fig, ginger, earth, spice on the nose. Baked plum, velvety tannin with a lengthy fig newton finish. Wonderful example of a California Cab. — 9 years ago
Very rich and complex, with tones of dry raisins, fig, earthiness and chocolate in the nose. Very round and creamy on the palate, and dense tobacco tones in the aftertaste. Pairs fantastically well with layered chocolate cake. — 9 years ago
I'm enjoying this wine.. It's definitely mature! Maybe notes of fig and pear... Definitely honey and grapefruit. — 10 years ago
Real dark and tasty. Dark plum, fig an chocolate. I really think this is a great Santa Lucia wine and a great find. — 10 years ago
1976 was almost fluorescent orange on release so many years ago now. Today it still has that telltale orange gleam but it's developed so beautifully. Orange peal, fig, honey, earth, mango, hazelnut, and on and on. 375ml still very fresh. Impressive. — 9 years ago
