Vegetable oil in color. The nose has a massive layer of flint over the aromas of peach and pear. It's full bodied in the mouth and creamy in mouthfeel with mellow acidity. There's flavors of peach, pear, pineapple and wood. It finishes pineapply, spicy and viscous. Excellent alternative to Chardonnay or Muscadet. — 9 years ago
So delicious. Rich, bitter and thick as oil. — 9 years ago
Homemade pumpkin pie! They got the nose just right on this! Clotted cream colored head moonscapes, with paramecium lacing a scuttling home before disappearing almost entirely. There is a dark peppery note as well. Tastes lighter than expected. But with plenty of spice spots lingering into receding points. Like a cinematographer zooming out from each experience, it gives the impression of bubbles blowing away as you reach backwards to a lemon oil and pumpkin cream soda core. Perhaps most pleasant is the sensational river-rock finish. #pumpkinbeer #stambroise #pumpkin #greatpumpkin — 10 years ago
Tangerine cream brûlée, pineapple upside down cake and lemon poppyseed muffin snootfull. Merengue textured head that slides off the glass in a bombshell of lemon oil napalm. Cake donut with lemongrass icing that gets tinny and dense as it drops you down the mother shaft of hops! Something cultured and yeasty here right out of Dr. Jekyll's petri samples. It'll change you! But you must hurry...oops today is 420-too? Gorgeous amber full of dinosaur DNA. — 10 years ago
Thank you to my good friend Andy Bunch for bringing this beer to try tonight. A rare treat for sure. Took a while to open up, bit man, it’s hitting its stride a couple hours later with notes of semi sweet chocolate, espresso liquor, brownie batter, vanilla, toasted nuts and almond oil. A rich brew with a 15%+ ABV. Black as old motor oil and super mouth coating. Yum yum yum. — 7 years ago
Lemon oil, hazelnut, simultaneously fresh and rich 😍 — 7 years ago
Wasn't aware I could rate a beer like this so high. But this one is simply good! The orange is balanced by a solid grapefruit core; pith and fruit. Cardamom, white pepper, white oak and cherry blossom. The palate is just shy of creamy, with iron shavings, orange peel, dried pineapple, grape seed oil but plenty of grain and a lovely malt touch. Exceptional IPA! #ipa #duesouthbrewing #Flabeer #ale #hops — 8 years ago
Vivid ruby. Intensely perfumed aromas of strawberry, raspberry, rose oil, star anise and white pepper. Supple red fruit preserve and candied floral flavors of very good clarity are complicated by suggestions of cola and licorice. Gentle tannins, providing grip, build on the finish and fade slowly into the wine's plush, sweet fruit. This alluring grenache is already showing plenty of complexity but it's still a baby. — 9 years ago
Guess that wine? Ok, you were right, Broke Arrow 2011 White Wine. A Rhone - style blend of Roussane, Viognier, Vermentino and Picpoul. Very yummy, best with food and the color which reminded me of olive oil (dark and dense)! — 10 years ago

Good, smooth tasting lager — 9 years ago
Looks like viscous, golden, motor-oil. Smells like sugar frosted black coffee grounds. Tastes like light - bulb filament and buttercream. Sweet, sweet madeira how I live thee. *hiccup* This special reserve bual reminds me of a jungle cat with a topaz collar. *hiccup* Yeah that'll do.... — 10 years ago
Great job Kevin, Jeff & co. Lemon oil, citrus, medium high acid, 60+ second finish. Can't wait to see where this goes in 3-5 years. — 10 years ago

Light app tonight for dinner. Burrata, roasted garlic, two different cherry tomatoes picked tonight from the garden, pesto sauce, olive oil and Tondo balsamic vinegar. The only balsamic to use. Found it in Tuscany years ago and it’s all we use. You can order it on Amazon but, not inexpensive. All over, crostini’s drizzled with smoked olive oil. Soooo good!
The nose reveals, sweet & sour dark cherries, dark berry mix, stewed dark plum, blue fruit hues, touch of baked strawberries, tomato with leaf, sweet tarry notes, limestone minerals, dark rich soil, light baking spices and dark & blue fresh florals.
The body is medium full. Soft, round, tannins 70% resolved. The structure, length, tension has hit a high point. Ripe; sweet & sour dark cherries, dark berry mix, stewed dark plum, blue fruit hues and a touch of baked strawberries. Tomato with leaf, sweet tarry notes, on the long decant, add malt & light caramel, used leather, saddle-wood/cedar, limestone minerals, dark rich soil, medium dark spice, light baking spices and dark & blue fresh florals. The acidity is nice. The finish is good, balanced and lasts minutes.
Photos of, the tasting room at Produttori which is just under and to the right of the clock tower in the arial photo, arial view of the hilltop town of Barbaresco and our delicious small plate.
Producer note...Produttori is the third largest co-op in all of Europe. Be that they are a co-op, they still make some exceptional wines as well as great QPR wines. 🇮🇹 — 7 years ago
