2018 vintage drank in 2025, very fruity, plumb and smooth, very light tannins, cherries with chocolate finish. — 4 months ago

Diamond Collection Black Label Claret California Cabernet Sauvignon

Excellent qpr! Upon opening, it’s somewhat subdued but half an hour later, wow! What happened?! And with food, roasted red meats, hard cheeses, grilled vegetables, it really comes alive! This is as good or better than cabs costing 2-3 times as much. Great daily drinker!! — 8 months ago

Director's Cut Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2022

Predictably solid. Perfect every day drinker. Nice way to welcome in summer in Palo Alto! Terrific with our dinner of snapper asparagus & couscous! Cheers 🥂 — 17 days ago

Very tobacco and leather. And nothing else matters. :) Very good, very spacious. — 5 years ago

Vendetta Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Actually quite good or at least better than expected. The Malbec acted much like a Merlot grape In smoothing out the tannins of Cabernet and resulted in a very smooth wine that would be equally good as either a sipper or with supper. I would definitely buy again especially at $8 a bottle! — 5 years ago

Gravelly Meadow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 1993

Popped and poured; enjoyed out of red Solo cups over the course of a few hours. The 1993 “Gravelly Meadow” pours a deep garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes o ripe and desiccate fruit: cassis, blackberries, dried red flowers, tobacco, eucalyptus, Poblano pepper, leather, cocoa, graphite, a mix of organic and inorganic earth along with some cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This was strong showing. Drink now through 2033. — 6 months ago
