Needs 5 years at this point but so so promising. Spicy apple, spices, discreet framing oak, supermineral, floral and a deep nose that is always unfolding. Complex and concentrated with a richness and also a freshness. Ripe apples and pears abound with minimal stone fruits I usually expect from Grau. Very pure. Very clean. Needs 5 years as it almost shows backwards but I had this on release and it will get there. — 7 years ago

Solid wine. Good fruit and really interesting secondary flavors. Tannins need a little more time to integrate and a very enjoyable wine even now. — 7 years ago

Spicey nose. Complex and mineral. Awesome. Juicy and complex but a bit low acid. 17 is rough for grau/weiss I’ve found. Good freshness from minerality and very pure and balanced. — 7 years ago

"Les Oliviers" Pays d'Oc Pinot Noir

Agree! Strawberry. Dry enough. Bing Cherry and teaberry. Some spice not too much. Fine currents on the end. Finally light tannins with a hint of licorice. Nice. — 7 years ago

Baden Spätburgunder Rosé 2016

I will try this many times this week. As I build my own Argon line “ha”. Quite tame compared to previous vintages. Needs air. Chill slightly and drink like a red! So this one is elegant sour strawberry 🍓 if that exists? Wild yeast on the nose. Needs some cellaring 2-3 years. Tons of acid a serious wine. Touch Cardamom? With air licorice! Really really good but I miss the herbs 🌿 found in previous vintages just a tad too nice. As always an unreal wine. The producer recommends decanting!!!! Next up the Weiss/Grau from E&M May be tonight. — 7 years ago

I still have the 2013 Rose. That one was the most difficult to get my head around. There are still a couple of bottles left.

Curve of Grau, Weißburgunder & Morillon. Nice complexity & depth with apricot & peach, some hay, a bit of herby minerality and nicely integrated wood. Round yet with character and good length. Very good. — 7 years ago

A heavy chateauneuf - alot of syrah. Sweet, dark berry nose with an odd plum note that dissipates. Charred meat notes. Unctuous on palate (again, syrah). Well made. — 8 years ago
