Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits, spice and toasty oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with spice, herbs, cacao, tobacco and toasty tones from 18 months of oak aging. Full ripe tannins you can bite into, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy toasty spice character. Nice! Will age! — 6 months ago
Tasted at Total Wine & bought a bottle. A little fruity. Not too bold. Good with steak. — 6 months ago
Dark ruby color with a cranberry colored meniscus. Intense aromas of tobacco, wet soil, graphite and dried purple flowers with a subtle black fruit note. The savory palate also is full of tobacco, bramble, dried citrus, black tea and baker’s chocolate with just a bit of black berry/cherry/plum fruit. Hint of baking spices on the medium finish. Very low acidity and little in the way of tannin. Probably a bit past its prime but still quite complex. Extremely earthy and dense. Better with aeration and with food. Also better the second day. — 7 months ago
Super fresh, very light — 8 months ago
Blend of mostly Tempranillo with about equal amounts of Garnacho, Graciano and Manzuelo, deep Ruby with a graceful bouquet of berry fruits, cigar box spice with fresh earthy tones, a traditional Rioja, still reticent. On the silky smooth palate, elegant with layers of flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine soft tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long chalky earthy character. Delicious! — 9 months ago
A big Rioja. Surprisingly ready to drink, tanins have softened, still powerful. Dark garnet color, aromatic nose of earth and herbs. Round Palate balanced and tasty. Recommended. Great VfM. — a year ago
Oily, cherry, herby. Beautifull!!!! — 7 years ago
Reasonably priced in Pennsylvania. Good drinkable wine if you like fuller bodied reds. Will be getting a couple more bottles. — 11 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red fruits with light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, bitter herbs, spices, light vegetables and black tea.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 5 year old GSM blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is elegant and nicely balanced. Not as big as I expected it to be.
Complex, soft and elegant. Precise and inviting.

Easy drinking now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

Cedar, fruit in the background, coconut?. Mature and delicious — 6 months ago
Splash decanted directly before service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours out of red Solo cups. The 1981 Gran Reserva Blanco pours, a golden color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of Khalas dates, dried apricot, black lemon, almonds, toasted coconut and marshmallow. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. A cerebral wine and just lovely stuff. Well stored bottles have a long life yet left ahead. Drink now with patience and plenty of air and through 2051. — 7 months ago
Delightful Margaux with light cherry notes and and fine tannin, Bloom Brasserie, Dublin also, Lower Falls) — 7 months ago
I generally like canary island reds ie listan negro quite a bit. This one veered a bit too austere for me. Some nice refined dark fruit and a lot of peppery herbs. Mouthfeel and finish are slightly thin, but the acid is certainly there and this still feels complete and well made. Just not quite giving enough. — 10 months ago
Nose: fig and Asphalt and earth
Taste: candid walnut up front? plum and berry, very fruit forward in the middle. Finishes spicy! Love the prickling sensation as the berry fades.

Having dinner with Patti at Mistral celebrating my retirement!!
Wonderful bottle !! — 6 months ago
Delicious. Notes of tobacco, raspberry, plum, cocoa, dessert, and tar on the nose. Medium-plus bodied with a palate to match. Subtle tannins balance a rich, fruit-forward palate. Tons of red and purple fruit. Deep, dark Pinot Noir that’s still light enough to sip or pair with food. — 6 months ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of cherries, hibiscus, and charred oak; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high (but well integrated) alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary flavors of stewed strawberries, black plums, and camphor with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it, too. — 7 months ago
Intense rioja, will age very well — 8 months ago
All the right things. Cherry. Cassis. Blackberry. Balanced warm vanilla cherry crumble which good riojas are known for. A hint of undergrowth. 2013 drinking superbly in 2025. — 10 months ago

Had this vintage almost a year ago and was highly impressed...something that remains the same. Complex, nuanced and refined. Great wine — 6 months ago
