Beautifully pure dark cherry with a little spice, it took a little time to open but it did so with great class. — 7 years ago
Pretty solid Willamette Pinot. Really loved visiting and chatting with Marcus yesterday. Ripe but with nice structure and acid still, bit young and would be best a bit further down the road. Ripe cranberry, bing cherry, and raspberry, potpourri and drying rose floral notes, gravelly mineral earth, and a bit of clove and anise-y spice character. Medium (+) acid, medium (-) intensity of fine grained tannins, and medium (-) body but with great, soft texture. Versatile on the patio with an array of grilled sausage and brats. — 8 years ago
Infanticide. Amazing nose, and so much depth after Day 1. Hold remaining 3 until at least 2023. — 5 years ago

If you like strong reduction this is a winner. I love me some reduction. Saline. High end oak. Clean fruit. — 8 years ago
Pale straw yellow. Understated nose (too cold, pulled from wine fridge). Pear, Meyer lemon, delicate oak. No butter thank heavens. Should have waited a year or two but could not resist — 5 years ago
Light and lovely — 6 years ago
Deft blending, and pretty composition. When cold, shows off linearity. And as it warms up phenolic texture, grassy, dry hay character with a little viscosity. Present RS. Maybe 6g. — 7 years ago
I have somewhat limited experience with domestic Riesling, but this is so crushable.
Appearance: Pale gold with a very slight greenish tinge, light to medium body, translucent
Nose: Lemon rind, pineapple, petrol-plastic (in the best way)
Taste: pineapple without the biting acidity or sweetness, some green melon, light petrol, Granny Smith green apple
Would say a pleasant surprise but Marcus Goodfellow just kills it more often than not. We paired this with Thai chili crab cakes and a green apple slaw with chili lime cashews and fish sauce based marinade. Perfection. Need some more of this in my life. — 9 years ago

Popped and poured in a Grassl Cru. The fairly light translucent garnet color but excellent intensity present a textbook example of the difference between concentration and extraction. It initially shows evergreen inflected dark cherry on the nose, while a layer of very fine tannin latches on to pure fruit on the palate like Velcro. It broadens out and takes on more savory notes with air. Excellent now and I look forward to seeing what more age will bring to the table. — 5 years ago
