Smoke, peat, wonderful. — 8 months ago
My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.
Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt
This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races! — a year ago
Fruit forward, but with nice butter and oak notes. Good with BBQ, but the oakiness can be overpowered by the food. — 2 months ago
Shows a little of the bell pepper aromas that I often found in older Sonoma Cabs, but nicely balanced fruit that is still quite youthful, tannins have mostly receded, drinking quite well tonight, bravo Patrick for making this gem!! — 9 months ago
Ah Gruner.
Nice clear pale yellow.
Melon, mineral, tropical fruits, pineapple, and a bit of petrol.
Slight slight effervescent quality. Great, solid expression of gruner. Chalky, loamy, pineapple, and limestone. — 4 months ago
Really? Wow. At 26 years old, not only hanging in there… but highly enjoyable. The mustiness had to blow off for a while, and then it hit its stride. Some toasty fruit remains in front of a long finish. cheers to ending 2023. …. Still going. Finish still going…. Going… — 7 months ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
This is actually the Ornelias label
Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon 60/40
Mimicking the Ornellaia and doing it pretty well too. Glen Garvald is a Levantine Hill side venture. — 7 days ago
