Krug

Brut Champagne Blend 2004

Light gold, nicely effervescent in the glass. Notes of lemon, chalk and a little toast. Creamy in the mouth. This is just getting started. — 8 years ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Very nice, different from the traditional Napa cab. Firm tannins, should be decanted. Last glass the next day did better (under vacuum) — 8 years ago

Rich though lacked some oomph. May have been open awhile (by the glass) — 8 years ago

Château de Beaucastel

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend

One of my favorite of the appellation. Spice is perfectly balance with red fruit. It´s earthy, complex and refined. A piece of beef tenderloin on barbecue, fleur de sel and a glass of Beaucastel, what else?! — 11 years ago

Krug

Grande Cuvée Brut Champagne Blend

My wife would never dare make her homemade Italian sauce without using one of my stellar cabs and I would never make a mimosa without using our House Champagne..........Krug!

Love the champs, but you gotta work on your OJ game!

Château d'Yquem

Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend 1990

What a beautiful wine. Needs to be served a bit above cellar temp. Deep honeycomb amber in the glass. Syrupy and rich, mouth filling and delicious. Good acid to keep it all together. Very nice. — 8 years ago

Belle Glos

Meiomi Pinot Noir 2012

Exceptionally wonderful to drink. Went perfect with the dry aged Liberty farms duck breast at Solage in Calistoga. A very fruity smelling drink that blends the best of coastal Pinot grapes. I would want a faucet installed in my house with this stuff coming out of it when I'm thirsty. — 10 years ago

Brick House

Evelyn's Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2011

Surprisingly, this did not speak to me the way a lot of '11's do, but still a great bottle. I wanted that vein of spice I get with 11 to be more veiny. — 10 years ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

Not the best vintage, but a great house. A bit lighter body than some other Lynch-Bages vintages, but still beautifully layered and complex. — 8 years ago
