Grandiose... Santa approved — 11 years ago
This is a silkier, more elegant vintage of the Chapelle, at least relative to the 2010, which was really in my zone, as well as the 2009, which I found over-the-top, but in both cases I think there was more stuffing there than here. This would've shown better if I'd opened it with white meat or even fish or something else where a lightweight presence and loose-knit structure is called for. It's an excellent wine in that idiom but lacks some of the solidity and grip it has offered in other years. It's not imbalanced at all, and the trademark stony mineral flavors are still here, it's just a slimmer version of its usual self. — 11 years ago
Interesting. Juicy, racy, mint 豆蔻, floral. — 11 years ago
Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically. — 11 years ago

Full palate, luscious, tropical, banana, lemon curd. Vibrant. Great value. — 9 years ago
Beautiful citrus notes with just a hint of herbaceousness. Beautiful balance and acidity. Really true example of a good Sancerre! — 9 years ago

Very nice. Alpine nose. But if honey on the palate. Acid hit on the finish. So well made. Bought from Fass selections. — 10 years ago

Good acidity and balance for a bottle at this price point. Nice value. — 10 years ago
Maybe one of the best wines I've ever had — 11 years ago
Freshy citrus and greenapple notes, stony minéral on the palette, nice body slightly heavier than standard generique Chablis. Love this. — 12 years ago
Floral nose followed by that chablis minerality! — 12 years ago
