Last tried 3 years ago. Established in the early 1950s, producing and selling only grapes and just a few years ago began aging and bottling its own wines. Giampaolo Pira recently took the reins. Ruby, brown edges, with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spices. 100% Nebbiolo, flavors of ripe cherry and plum emerge, smooth, with pepper spice on good structure. Fine soft tannins, balanced acidity on long finish ending with earthy mineral notes, drink now. — 5 years ago

Such interesting flavor... peach maybe, with floral after tones. — 8 years ago
Venica & Venica L’Adelchi Ribolla Gialla 2021: Medium-body. Lively acidity. Fresh & delicate fruit notes of pear, green apple, melon, citrus & peach. Great minerality and a long fruity finish. All in all, a well balanced and very likable/approachable wine. It was an elegant, pure expression of the Ribolla Gialla grape which resulted in a great quality wine. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend! Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago
Great natural acidity, balanced minerality, slight salinity. (Some petrol notes) Hints of peach and tropical fruits — 7 years ago
Gorgeous. Smells like savory herbs, like rosemary, and seasoned meat. Taste and texture is soft and smooth and velvety with mild tannins. The bottle said to enjoy it with beef or aged cheese. The only aged cheese I have is Parmesan and I have to say it goes pretty well. #merlotthursday — 7 years ago

Pepper, pepper, and more pepper. Not overdone though, really enjoyable flavor complimented by some red fruit. Light body and structure. — 4 years ago
Rich and creamy. Briny salinity, wild herbs, barnyard funk, clay, and yet with undertones of ripe tropical fruits. Moderate plus acidity and body. A unique Friuli Sauvignon Blanc. — 7 years ago
This is so lovely...lush and rich. — 8 years ago

Insane. Friuliano at its finest! — 10 years ago
Fascinating. To me, similar to sauvignon blanc but significantly sweeter. Still very balanced - would love to try this with certain asian foods — 11 years ago

I did not expect this Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Merlot blend to be so light and airy. A really pleasant surprise. Dominant cherry, with mint, licorice, and herbal notes. Made at a monastery in northern Lazio under Giampaolo Bea’s supervision. — 3 years ago
