Cornas AOC requires 100% Syrah, this wine is well made and has all the characteristics of a great Syrah, deep purple color, lovely nose the opens with notes of barnyard, followed by violets, blueberry, red current, cassis, lavender and geranium, medium to full fruity body, well structured and fully integrated tannins, lovely acidity and a long delicious finish. The wine just starts to open up and I would wait a couple of years before drinking, yet will stock now as this one is representing today a great value. My score 89, drink to 2021 perhaps longer — 9 years ago

Masculine but with a rose petal softness coming through on the nose. The palate is less expressive and seems to lack in intensity when compared to the impressive nose, a lovely freshness to the lightweight red fruit dominated finish which is fresh but again lacks impact. — 9 years ago
