Nez et bouche épicé, très beau fruit aussi, bel équilibre en bouche, délicieux, des tannins encore bien présents avec une longue finale fort agréable mais ayant une touche asséchante. Très fidèle à l’appellation. 92-93
Blind tasting lunch 2009 theme. Nose and palate with gorgeous spices, nice balance, delicious and pure flavors with grippy tannins in this long but slightly rustic finish, very terroir like. — 3 years ago
Spices and nice dark and red fruit on the nose and palate, nice balance, medium bodied plus with a soft texture of tannins, good. 89-90
Notes constantes, un beau fruit, des épices, bien équilibré, assez puissant mais sans excès, des tannins approchables et de belle texture. 89-90 — 4 years ago
Hard not to recommend this one. Entry level burgundy that is performing way above it’s status . Excellent wine. — 6 years ago
I loved it! Deceptively simple, so comforting and acidic just enough to make it delicious. If Pinot is your game, than this is wine for you. You’ll love it from the first strawberry aroma. — 7 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 Passetoutgrains pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart berries, like a mixed berry jam. There’s also some red and purple flowers along with some underbrush and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and has a nice juicy mineral finish. This might benefit from a little time on its side to gain a little more complexity but the quality is undeniable. Drink now through 2032. — 9 months ago
Comes out earthy and a touch funky, which fades with time open, leaving behind pure brambly berry fruit. Delicate, with good concentration and length. — 3 years ago
Unbelievable Christmas wine for the festivities…. — 4 years ago
The 2014 is excellent. Very true to Forey’s elegant and linear style. Red fruit aromas are very pure and high-toned with a bit of orange peel character on top. Lovely spice and smoky mineral character. Good cut on the entry, slightly thin mid palate but a lingering energy and subtle concentration on the finish. This is not going to grab your senses with weight or power, but delivers impact nonetheless. — 7 years ago
Still concentrated red at the core with beautiful garnet towards the rim. The nose shows classic aged Boudots and thrives on the palate with vibrant 1990 acidity. This is at maturity, should definitely enjoy now. — 7 years ago
1986 vintage. Intoxicating perfume of crushed strawberries and sweet roses at the height of the bloom. Profound with layered fruit and velvety tannin, delicate and concentrated at the same time. Very long. An amazing effort for the vintage, that in Decanter is described as "a large crop of indifferent quality with poor concentration". Highly recommended. — 3 years ago
Bright fruit and cherry, earth notes, cream nose. Slight funk, beautiful cherry, cream, baking spices, honey notes. — 3 years ago
A real beauty with classic notes of terroir. — 4 years ago

These wines take a while to open up but once it happens there is some type of magic. The nose is stunning with a mix of red fruits that are fresh and ripe, herbaceous notes, and earthy tones, black tea and minuscule hints of leather. The plate is sheer elegance, the fruits show tart the flowers and herbs sing fresh and the texture is classic burgundy. — 6 years ago
We had the 2009 Vintage on 9/7-8/18. The strawberry fruit is subtle. There was cardomom, mushroom and a nice spice. Truly Burgundian. Medium bodied. No tannin; smooth and ready to drink. — 7 years ago

The 2018 “Clos de la Roche” pours a deep ruby/purple color with medium viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful and shows a combination of tart and ripe red and dark fruits: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, pepper, exotic spices, minerals and some fine wood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This has an overall character of freshness and the fruit is so beautiful…but this is such a baby. While it shows its quality now, I won’t touch my next bottle for another 10 years. Better after 2035 (to my palate) and through 2058. — 8 months ago
