An older chinon is rare for me. Fully resolved green tones yielding bay leaf, dried tobacco leaf and persistent high quality fruit in the mid palate. The warm year tannins still present on the finish. Always learning. — 12 years ago

I had high expectations with this example, and was not disappointed.
Nutmeg, cinnamon and maraschino cherries on the nose. The palette is quite soft, with tannins that are fully evolved. I can taste the Rutherford dust, along with coffee and maple syrup. It's so succulent - no food required. Finishes with an uncommon presence. This is turning out to be an outstanding Sunday treat. — 10 years ago

Opaque in color and chock-full of deep red fruits and berries with a touch of tar and cedar spice. Fully intergraded wine and so pleasurable to drink. I get their Zin and Cab from the winery ever year and have been doing so for 15 or so years.
