Loaded with dense and dark fruit, graphite and tannins. Let this rest for a least 4 years. It has great potential — 9 years ago
Floral perfume nose. Fully balanced. Showing more red fruit than black. — 10 years ago
One of my favorite red wine in Bordeaux. Strong body and silk mouthfeel. Fully strong scents of red fruits taste like cream cheese cake. Soft with power, nice balance! — 11 years ago
Freakin amazing old world wine with dark cherry flavors and smooth deep tannins from LEBANON !!! My mind is fully blown. — 11 years ago
Tasted blind. Tawny color, translucent with amber rims. Notes of black cherry, cedar, some spice and a little barnyard floor. Sweet fruit in the mouth, with tannins fully resolved. Guessed 1955 Calon Segur. Perfect looking bottle, the cork revealed this bottle was reconditioned by the Chateau in 2000. — 7 years ago
Loaded with fruit mostly cherry, nice bouquet with a lingering finish. — 9 years ago
The wine shows a nice evolution with an orange rim in the glas. The cork was fully soaked. The nose is discreet. Strawberry jam and some wet earth scents. The palate is not ample. The tannins are now fully integrated. A nice acidic touch makes it interesting with a slight saltiness and strawberry jam again. Not great, a bit discreet but a nice lovable wine considering the vintage. — 9 years ago
I had high expectations with this example, and was not disappointed.
Nutmeg, cinnamon and maraschino cherries on the nose. The palette is quite soft, with tannins that are fully evolved. I can taste the Rutherford dust, along with coffee and maple syrup. It's so succulent - no food required. Finishes with an uncommon presence. This is turning out to be an outstanding Sunday treat. — 10 years ago

Unfortunately have been congested and could not fully appreciate the beauty of this wine. The 03 was Pichon was one of the best wines I've ever had. — 12 years ago
Fab GPL reaching peak drinking window @ £75-£90 always a lovely wine 👍

I just love piedmont and this barbaresco was great. Let it breath for 2 hours to fully appreciate it. — 8 years ago
Deep garnet red with ruby core. Tasted blind. Very tight and dark on the nose with dark cocoa, dark spices and soft dark berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Very dark palate as well with black cherries, cassis, black currants, dark cocoa and a little woody. Long and lingering finish. Thought this was a bit older than a 2013 but powerful, needs some time to fully develop. Drink till 2032. (93+) — 9 years ago
This wine needed about 3 hours to release. Initially tight with uncomfortable medicinal nose which then totally dissipated. Drinking now next day and you get the age of fully integrated but not fading tannins. Nose has a delightful dark fruit and smokiness. Great fit of nose and taste, meaning - when tastes after smelling the experience is consistent and not jolting. I think the color purple in a subdued way. Very nice. Memo to self: decant and watch for sediment, and enjoy three hours later. — 9 years ago
Much better than the last bottle I opened. This #chateaulascombes was fully mature and had a taste of metal. For the first 20 minutes the complexity was high and there were some delicious notes. After that it fell hard and became insipid and funky. #bordeaux #margaux #france #1937 #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
Opaque in color and chock-full of deep red fruits and berries with a touch of tar and cedar spice. Fully intergraded wine and so pleasurable to drink. I get their Zin and Cab from the winery ever year and have been doing so for 15 or so years. I drink them chronologically no matter what the vintage charts say and these wine never fail to please. — 10 years ago
Needs about 40min to an hour to fully open up. Starts off Bordeaux-ish then finishes up like a Napa cab. — 12 years ago
