2016 vintage. Tasted Dec 2016. 30% new French oak gives this Chardonnay a rounded creamy mouthfeel to support the citrus and stonefruit notes. Plenty of complexity and interest, with a generous length at the finish. Would have again. Highly recommended for@Chardonnay fans looking to explore new regions — 10 years ago

Freshness beautifully entwined with richness. Ripe pear with a pithy lemon rind edge. Great texture. Drags you back in. Great stuff — 11 years ago
Epitome of balance. Plenty of rich red fruit but that funky grungy complexity sets it off beautifully. Nice work. — 11 years ago
Lucinda Estate Pinot Noir 2011 full of ripe cherries and blackberries with hints of candy floss — 13 years ago
Reminds me of a serious beaujolais, very light in color but it's lacking nothing else. Bright strawberry and some earthy notes in the background with a slight touch of tannins on the finish to remind you it's there. — 8 years ago
I heard in Melbourne they call “natural wine” “collingwood koolaid”. Jonestown 2018 sounds cute right about now. After one dexy I could be fooled very easily into drinking this sans sulfur koolaid. Strawberry milkshake made with buttermilk frozen custard with a little Yuzu zest. Living in New York you sometimes forget it’s always summer/sunny somewhere. This will remind you, and if you’re lucky it will make you forget again 💁 — 8 years ago
My favorite Fulcrum Pinot. Well rounded and deeper fruit notes than expected from a Pinot. — 9 years ago
Very little Petite Sirah left in the RRV, dominated by Pinot's, however David Rossi has performed magic! Very dark purple with aromas of deep dark fruit and exotic spices. On the palate big flavors of blackberry and ripe blueberry with smoky oak, floral notes and dusty drying smooth tannins. Well balanced on a long finish ending with a mineral tang. Tasting Sample. — 10 years ago
A big and sumptuous Pinot with all the hallmarks of Gippsland. For me, lacks the acid line to clean up the big fruit. I like the wine, it's Central Otago like in that it's bigger and firmer..... But for me it's got a ways to go before it's great. — 11 years ago
Clearly this was a superb vintage. Quality wine on all accounts. Had in a vertical with 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06. — 11 years ago

This is the 1998 Bass Phillip Reserve Pinot Noir and what a stunning old Pinot it is. Cloudy appearance as was sometimes the case with early Pinots from Phillip Jones. Gorgeous intoxicating perfume of plummy spice, some beetroot and herbal nuances. On palate sweet and intense. Bottom line Delicious. Privileged to drink a 16 year old Pinot from the best maker of this variety in Australia. 18.5. — 12 years ago
