A deeper dive into Friuli. Inspired by a recent article published on Punch highlighting the cellar led by Bobby Stuckey and the attention given to Friuli at Frasca. Sought this producer out and glad to find this bottling with some age (2003). I was especially curious to try these wines with food and [Hog Island] Oysters are always my preferred litmus test for expressive white wines. A fun look at Sauvignon Blanc from this region.
Would be interested to seek out the Friulano from this same producer in the future. — 7 years ago
Love this Wine. Such good fruit with a refined smooth Italian funk. Drank at Frasca on Christmas Eve Wine Pairing — 5 years ago
Off the Frasca list in Boulder. Light gold, heavy in the glass. Petrol nose, in a good way. Also notes of pit fruit, lemon creme, river stone and some spice. In the mouth, rich fruit and good but not overpowering acidity. Had the Somm put this in a decanter an hour before we touched it. The last sip hours later was the best. Improved and grew more complex. Reminded me of a young Coche. Really good showing for a young burg. — 5 years ago

Absolute knock out flavor, intensely delicious. Enjoyed with halibut fillets from Frasca, a perfect at home pairing. — 5 years ago
In a Frasca at home kit. Delicious fruit forward medium light body with great acidity. Really really enjoyed. Got better and better after 2 hours open — 5 years ago
Off the Frasca list in Boulder. Dark garnet, opaque. Luscious nose. Notes of black cherry, smoked meat, slate stone, blood oranges. With air some kirsch develops. Rich and round in the mouth. Tannins are in the background. With air this grew to show a bit of heat and the kirsch thing took over. Liked this more in the beginning. Probably in a funk right now. — 5 years ago

Excellent Franciacorta. This is a bit less tart than the Ca Del Bosco. Enjoyed at Frasca in Boulder. — 7 years ago
