Elegant, long and complex as always. — 6 months ago
Opened just prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. As far as I know, this was the first commercially released vintage of La Fleur de Boüard but others may be able to confirm or deny that. The 2000 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe dark fruits: back plums, cassis, pipe tobacco, Flintstones vitamins, purple flowers, dried green herbs organic earth and fine baking spices. “Yabba dabba doo!” On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Gosh, this is in a really lovely place right now; very well balanced! Thank Andy! Drink now through 2040. — 7 months ago
Incredible food wine. Saline, bright, delicious. — 5 years ago
Lemon gold color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with citrus, sweet floral and complex spice, no MLF. On the palate flavors of ripe melon, pineapple, apricot and honeysuckle notes with lemon zest and biscuit notes, delicate, complex and well balanced, big and full Chardonnay. Long finish, savory, ending with mineral tones and fresh finish. Will age well. Outstanding! While I usually do not decant whites, this one will benefit to breathe a bit! — 3 months ago
Clementine, peach skin, decent acidity. — 4 months ago
Delicious. Nose of dark fruit and pepper. Cassis, strawberries, low tannin — 6 months ago
Crystal coloration, with hints of yellow colored deep within. Nose is actually prominent, with notes of tart stonefuit, specifically peach, African cucumber, and sharp acidity despite the age. Palate doesn’t show any age or loss of acidic zing! Fresh and dry, with a long tingle that lasts long after the sip. Bought on our honeymoon, tasted and purchased on site, and popped to celebrate the birth of our first child. — 6 months ago
Might be the best bottle of Chardonnay I ever had…. Unique 500 ml bottle…. Perfect with homemade burrito bowl — 3 years ago
Good but not as great as I remembered. First time we had this we were blown away. This wasn’t better than some of our favorites and not far the price point still good! Lots of lemon and lime. — 3 months ago
Black fruit, especially blackberries and plums in the nose with blackberries, plums, figs and dark cherries. Paired well with mild cheddar & prosciutto, but not ham nor dark chocolate. — 5 months ago
Green fruit, Dry, and tart but refreshing finish. — 7 months ago
Browned and losing steam. Butterscotch and walnuts. — 10 months ago
Bright ruby red color. Bountiful aromas of red berries and dried violets. Pallet is full of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of black tea, baking spices, earth and pepper spice. Just a bit of a “gamey” quality as well. Nice hint of oak on the clean finish. Fine tannins and bright acidity. Creamy texture. Rich and nicely rounded. Absolutely a “California-Style” Pinot Noir. Nice choice, Mark Smith. — 3 years ago

Nice opening nose of peach and stone fruit aromatics. Cantaloupe, apricot, bosc pear through the glass. Love the balance of fruit and acidity. The finish is light but pleasing. — 3 months ago
