Cigars and ripe red cherries on the nose. Red apples from the Wizard of Oz trees and smoked bing cherry on the palate. Click your heels, Toto. We’re not in Kansas anymore. Grab your broomstick and take flight with this delightful berry manifestation. Or take shelter. This berry hurricane is headed straight for your mouth. — 7 years ago
Pale straw with a hint of green. Grassy meadow flowers on the nose. Vibrant acidity support the grapefruit and rose palate. Medium length on the finish. Very pleasureful. — 9 years ago

This wine is simple brilliant and ready to drink! The nose leads with hints of bright red fruits then quickly transitions to an earthy smell ripe with fresh rain. Tastes of subtle dark fruit, followed by mild tannins, with a lush mineral finish. We are pairing with mussels braised in a tomato confit, glazed pork belly, and classic steak and potatoes. This wine is certainly a top hit!!! — 10 years ago

Given its pedigree it's a tad uninteresting. Perhaps its prime was five years ago. (2001 Vintage.) — 8 years ago

Had a year ago and more integrated. Can taste the cab franc but it as prominent as a year ago. Well done — 10 years ago
Dried herbs, earth, and cedar on the nose. Delicious blackberry and chocolate flavors dance on your tongue in delight. A medium finish and soft tannins. — 8 years ago
More evolution than I expected. Still sound but perhaps better a year ago. Barolo Lecinquevigne is a blend of Nebbiolo from five vineyards; Barolo, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra and Novello. Sweet strawberries, orange notes, roses, leather, tobacco, and subtle hints of violets and tar. Nice pair with Cari's lasagna. — 9 years ago
Who says 2011 was a bad year? Beautiful garnet from the glass. Elegant floral and blue fruit on the nose. Deep blueberry, black berry and currant tastes on the palate. Excellently structured with sweet tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes come from a great Oakville neighborhood. Great family owned winery! — 10 years ago
Tons of umami on the palate. A surprise for a Pinot Noir. Drinks beautifully and well integrated. — 10 years ago
