From our tasting back in August. Dark and deep ruby red. Slight heat on the nose, which is expected for how young this wine is. Some nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves on the nose too with dark berries. Heavy blue and black berries on the palate with some cassis. Very ripe, extracted, voluptuous and silky. Almost seems like some tighter almost mountain berries near the finish. Fully integrated moderate tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied with a little furriness. Long and lingering finish, this wine will only develop and get better with age in the bottle. Excellent work Kerrin and Celia! Drink from 2017 till 2036. (92+) — 8 years ago
Another great wine from Celia Welch, decanted for 2 hours. Excellent Berry, full body Napa Cab very smooth and soft at end. Enjoy — 8 years ago
Opened at Bluebird with Leslie & Celia after checking wedding dress venues and to celebrate the completion of Hannah’s New South Wales project. — 6 years ago
2013 vintage. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot. AVA Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley. 24 months French oak (74% new). Consulting winemaker Celia Welch. Dark red with a hint of purple at the rim. Graphite, slightly jammy black fruits, spices and flowers in the nose. Layers of dark juicy fruit, fresh acidity and a firm, but rather soft tannic structure. Mineral finish. Surprisingly generous and supple for a Diamond Mountain cab. Very good indeed. Growing in the glass. — 7 years ago
I believe this was the last vintage of the "high Octane style" before Celia Welch took over winemaking in 2010.
I expected a train wreck but was pleasantly surprised and actually enjoyed this.
No medal for subtlety here but there's a time/place for any wine. — 7 years ago
Another beautiful SB from the Keever Family and Celia Welch.
I've been a fan of this winery from day one and highly recommend people checking it out on a visit to Napa.
The wines are fantastic and the owners Bill and Olga (together with their children Jason and Ashley) are just some of the nicest folks in town. — 8 years ago

Excellent smooth red that goes nicely with food such as Mexican. — 6 years ago
