Bit sweet, easy drink, gets better with some exposure. Like it. — 5 years ago

Crisp, fresh strawberry and watermelon aromas with just a touch of cranberry. Lively, fresh and fruity on the palate. Flavors of strawberry, watermelon, peach and a touch of citrus are followed by crisp, dry minerality and a bright, acidic backbone. The finish is long and dry with lingering minerality and citrus. — 8 years ago

Celebration to Queen and the late Freddie Mercury at The Grill on the Ally in San Jose Concert tomorrow night. The Bryant Family Cabernet blend is something to celebrate with. On the nose snaps with a dark blackberry and cherry fruit and lingers of veggie, spice and eucalyptus. Taste is full body with a rich fill of black cherry and plum and finishing with a chocolate gravel and vanilla taste. — 5 years ago
Canary Island product. Pale harvest orange-yellow, excellent clarity. Dried fruit or fruit leather notes in nose. Smoky apricot, peach flavors with a touch of salinity. Really different white; yes, a curiosity, but also a good pour. Some astringency in finish. — 5 years ago
This Santa Cruz Mountains AVA trip in San Jose was so much fun. We got really lucky and booked both Ridge and Mount Eden on the same day. In my opinion they are the two best representations of wine produced on this AVA. Unique dirt, grape growing, wine making and history. — 6 years ago
Didn't know that tequila could be this good! Sad. — 7 years ago
Big dark cherry and plum Jose with ripe Syrah perfume. A little over the top with notes of cherry ludens and mint coming on. Layered, a bit of funk. Reminds me of the one really good SQN I had without quite the same mid palate density and with a shorter, drier finish. Still one of the better Washington State wines I've had. — 8 years ago
The wine is a dark ruby color, but beginning to show some brick notes on the edge, a sign of its age. On the nose, big cherry aromas are met with violet and a smokey oak spice. The taste gives dark notes of cherry with earthy minerals and a nice grip, but the tannins are not too toothy. In fact, it’s fairly smooth. The finish is medium long.

Jose Pastor Selections. 100% Albariño. Salt, stone fruit, nice acidity up front, coating texture on the fin. Christy says “this makes my mouth water”. — 4 years ago
