Decanted for 1.5 hours. Opened up but still very young. Wonderful structure, bold yet refined. Very strong, but lovely finish. Can’t wait to visit Fairchild in a month. — 5 years ago
10' Fairchild GIII . The 2010 bottle without a doubt has gotten so much better in the last two years!
Full-bodied, somewhat of a bruiser right out of the bottle ( green olives). A hour decanting & the tannins/acidity have softened up. Nose- Expressive flowers, sweet black cherry, spices. Color Deep purple. Palate- Dense , black fruits( Blackberry) spices, creamy oak. A well polished wine.
Fairchild & Schrader are the best stuff coming out of GIII ? IMO I have not had the Sarah Francis G III.
Certain parts of this vineyard are sensational. Drink/ Hold. I'd be curious to see how this develops in the next 2/3 years.

Surprisingly good as I did not know it was a 1er cru. At Fairchild — 3 years ago
Philippe Melka and Larry Fairchild are a partnership in Napa Valley like no other, the 2013 Stones 2 lives up to its press, The wine exhibited notes of tar, tobacco, soaring black fruit and amazing balance. The deep baking spices always keeps me wanting to go back to the glass for more. Bravo Team Philippe and Larry for an exceptional effort — 7 years ago
Soft tannins, rich cherry chocolate fruit still very alive — 9 years ago
Very delicious white at Fairchild — 3 years ago
Coolest bottle out there. I’m getting a more floral than fruit bouquet. Pretty mild all around. Some peach, apricot and lemon. Mild acidity. Very smooth. Will try again tomorrow to see how it is second day. Second night: enhanced flavors, more fullness. — 4 years ago
Tasted with Lawrence Fairchild today. Incredible experience. Thank you Mr. Fairchild. Except for this one all other wines were 2016 vintage. This wine definitely showed its blue and black fruit. It was approachable today but will age effortlessly for years to come. — 6 years ago
Started a bit muted but opened up beautifully with a smooth finish and substantial fruit notes — 8 years ago
09' Myriad Georges. Decanted it for several hours. Love the nose on this wine (always). It's even better than it was a little more than a year ago. It had a lot more muscle a year ago. Still a powerhouse wine, with much more elegance to it.You enjoy Rutherford wines? Can't miss bottle.
10 great years in it! I'm a little partial… Love almost everything that comes out of this great Vineyard!
Enjoy wine from this vineyard. May I also suggest Fairchild. Cheers! — 8 years ago
