We both enjoyed this at Ester in Sydney; crisp, fresh, apples... — 6 years ago
Color of black tea. Nose is very bourbon like, with powerful spice, fermented grains, cedar wood, crayon, and ester. Taste of spicy cinnamon, oaky, definitely some caramel, but fruity notes are not too pronounced for me. Aftertaste does show some good apple flavors and zest. I will mistake it for a smooth and borderline spicy bourbon. — 7 years ago
Elderflower and pear drops on nose (ethyl acetate, an ester of ethanol and acetic acid). Elderflower and apple on mouth. Long lasting — 8 years ago
Deep amber color showing her double cask feature. Nose of sweet apple cider, ester, a bit oak and cedar, smooth, and warm. Taste of nice peaty note, with spice coming next. Dried fruit like figs shows up deep on the rim and back of the tongue. Toffee and brown sugar like scarf wrap the tongue with softness. Aftertaste of dried fruit and baked apple. A 16 year old with smoothness and complexity of > 20 year old. — 8 years ago

Only 100 calories a can, our favorite of the bunch — 8 years ago
Light tropical fruit on the nose with some ketone/ester/alcohol the slightly tingles. Stupidly well balanced for a tipa, no alcohol burn and not syrupy. There is a moderate thickness to the mouth feel, slight carbonation and a good lacing on the glass. I get a little wave of tropical fruits and a nice warm finish. That's what she said. — 8 years ago

What a beautiful wine! 98DSP 😍 — 6 years ago
Nose is pear, lemon peel, floral hops, and a touch of Belgian yeast clove and fennel. Quite pretty.
Quite a lot of hops on the palate which mostly come across as the noble, floral type. A bit of ester comes in mid way and finish is super dry with a touch of spice and mild bitterness. Great creamy mousse on the mouthfeel with a touch of astringency.
Very dry quaffer that would be great with mild cheese or salad. Hoppier and less yeasty than I remember, but that's the RR way. — 6 years ago
Color of dark inky red, with slightly mix of purple. Nose refined with saturated dried strawberries, oak, ester and crayon, a bit cocoa, a bit mineral, and the fragrance simply keep coming. I won’t imagine she is Syrah, I will guess high end Amarone instead. Taste follows similar notes with orders being per mutated. Oaks come first, dries fruit note, and indeed some raisins and berry note come second. Then some bold tannins, tobacco leaves and mineral. Very attractive. Aftertaste is dominated by mineral, good acidity, and some residual heat from peppery note. A wow. — 7 years ago
a light, rose-ish nero with a lot of stank out front but is v. mellow on the palate. strawberry ester vibe with a lot of character — 8 years ago
Deep amber color shows her double oak nature. Nose of fragrant ester, green apple, oak, and hint of toffee. Very powerful nose. Taste is a dance of hot spice with creamy caramel, around this is some milky vanilla, apple, and chocolate note. Aftertaste is a pleasure with milk chocolate-like sweetness, a bit minty, dried figs, and powerful hot spice at the throats. This is a bold but well polished whiskey. — 8 years ago
Great siciliano vino Carlo Hauser winery. The winery that made the wine that got me hooked 25 years ago. This wine is all about style, silky tannins, black berries, black licorice, volcanic minerals...and this wine was purchased in Florence. We drank a couple of bottles with Nicholas Ruth and Cristina Anel Ruth. — 9 years ago

Wonderful mix of barrel raised character, tense palate, racing acid and that mineral imprint many Aube wines have. Also found a real balance in the wine’s fruity ester character and the hint of aldehyde, adding savory dimension. Mix of crisp green apple/pear with a touch of bruised fruit mixed in, underripe strawberry, green banana, saline, fino sherry, chalk. 11/2018 disgorgement R16 — 6 years ago
