Bløt og fin fra en årgang som visstnok ikke er så bra i Spania. Lang ettersmak, myke tanniner (tror jeg) — 7 years ago
Excellent value this entry level Edmeades Zin. Nose has tangy cherry and blackberry, pine forest underbrush, and rocky minerals. Mouthfilling and flavorsome, but with much more of a savory and minerally profile than a typical Zin. Still, the rich fruit is there. Dry, a bit of tannin present too, with good acids. Says 15% but drinks like and old pre global warming 14%er. — 8 years ago
Det er muligt at den har næsten ni år på bagen, men stadig ret ung, frugtdreven og syrerig. — 4 years ago
Cool(er) climate Syrah, slightly reminiscent of its Rhône cousins. Hint of Viognier, hence the rôtie reference — 5 years ago
— 7 years ago
Dieser Wein ist sowas von Mega! Blaufränkisch at it's best! Er vibriert, hat Trinkfluss, Tiefe, Länge, Frucht, geniale Tannine, Mineralität, ist spannend und filigran. Das geht fast nicht besser, nur anders. Unbedingt probieren!!! — 8 years ago
Still a baby, but already solid, huge, grippy, powerful and assertive Priorat.
Garnacha/Syrah, fermented in cement tanks with wild yeasts with daily oxygenation. Macerated 10-15 days. Aged in 4000 L wooden vats, 300 L barrels, clay jars & demijohns for 18 months.
Dark inky garnet, scarlet rim.
Intense, invigorating & refined nose of black earth, tar, smoke, pome jam, raspberry pie, charred pine cone, crushed pepper, peppermint, cherry seed, bone fire, caramel, mulberry jam, tobacco, box of matches, mushrooms, pu er tea, licorice, ink, rosemary, volcanic minerals.
Impressive and massive palate. Very full body (14.5%), vivid acidity, grained tannins. Chokeberry, hibiscus, red currant skins, basil, lilac broth, black gooseberry, unripe saskatoon, earth, cigar, roasted cacao beans, lavender, savory, espresso flavors.
Saturated lasting finish of cedar, saskatoon, chokeberry, coffee and licorice.
Paired rib-eye steak finely.

Nice Port with caramel, coffee liqueur, whipped creams, pistachios, pu-er, condensed milk aromas. — 8 years ago
I received a selection of Catena wines following an interview with Dr. Laura Catena (to her credit, she's an amazing person and a part time ER doc). Her 2014 High Mountain Vines Cabernet displays glorious aromas of black currant, anise, mocha, exotic spice, and cedar. Medium weight, elevation has endowed this Argentine Cab with elegance and silkiness stitched against a backdrop of fine tannins and high acidity. It’s fresh and intense with a finish that flirts with saline-tipped minerality. — 8 years ago

Not so pepperish for a cabernet franc, strawberry jam instead. Joyful release of bell pepper er al. in the aftertaste. Mastered in the details. — 4 years ago
