Dark inky purple with aromas of black fruits, spices and herb pepper. On the palate for this Bordeaux blend, ripe red and black berry fruits, complex with leather, cacao and vanilla. By chance, sports commentator Jim Nantz and wine industry entrepreneur Peter Deutsch were together at a restaurant in Greenwich, CT, each having dinner with friends, things developed and The Calling was born. Dark Ruby with aromas of nice ripe berry fruits with earthy herb spice. On the palate cherry and blackberry fruit with candied apple spice and earthy notes. Good balance with fine tannins more time would benefit. Lingering finish ending with earthy spice notes. — 7 years ago

Graham Beck entering its third generation as a family winery, established in 1983 when entrepreneur Graham Beck purchased Madeba farm outside the Western Cape town of Robertson. A blend of 53% Chardonnay and 47% Pinot Noir, aromas of tropical fruits and biscuit notes, vivid crisp acidity on medium finish ending with yeasty notes. Nice value. — 7 years ago
