Super balanced, 100% Grenache. — 10 years ago

Initially quite pruny and woody but this dissipates with some air. Still young but starting to show a bit of bricking in crimson elixir. Nice cherry cola fruit and tangy finish. Needs more acidity to be outstanding. — 11 years ago
What are you, marvelous elixir? — 12 years ago
I was looking for essence of tannin to go with the leg of lamb on Boxing Day, and found it in this righteous elixir. No pussyfooting around here--it's the real stuff. Shot through with coarse-ground black pepper; sturdy as a faithful hiking boot. — 10 years ago
Elixir of the Provence gods. That's a kiss five fingers and explode wine. — 10 years ago
Amontillado was long my favorite Sherry style. Palo Cortado is where it's at for me these days. One of the best here and truly sings after a week. Polished off remains with salt roasted almonds, elixir of Zibibbo from Pantellaria and Fiore Sicano cheese. — 11 years ago

There is champagne and their is Champagne. This all chard beauty is redolent of lemons, celery, pear and brioche all in a shimmering shist oceanic pale golden Elixir. You can't drink this and chatter away. It stops you in your tracks and says pay attention. — 10 years ago
Toffee, fruit cake, butterscotch and a flicker of vanilla Yankee candle on the nose; quiet notes of roasted pear and petals of lemon rind picked off the grill in a rich bodied elixir that persists 20+ seconds. — 10 years ago
Rich and amber-hued, this dessert wine offering from cult winery, Sine Qua Non is crafted from 100% botrytized Viognier. Harvested at 42 brix, it's a remarkable elixir that offers up notes of ripe apricot, orange marmalade, mace and vanilla. Concentrated, waxy and viscous. There is enough acidity to bolster hedonistic flavors of bruised pear, golden raisin, clover honey and whole cloves on the finish. Ample spice notes gather like an impending storm on the tip of the tongue. Exotic and very memorable. — 11 years ago

Those monks know what they're doing. Sweet and herbaceous and full of flavour. — 12 years ago
It was great to have Damien & Angelique Coutelas over and drink some of their excellent Champagne. Their full bodied rose went very well with pork rilletes! — 12 years ago

Flavors and aromas of dried fig, molasses, hazelnut, raisin, pipe tobacco, nutmeg, dried mushroom, and more, with a juicy, luscious, viscous mouthfeel and superlong and super sweet. A classic dessert elixir from the masters of Sherry. #Valdespino — 10 years ago
