Smells kind of like... Wax, I suppose and mild oak.
Tastes big. Dark berries, nice round tanins with a mild finish. — 7 years ago
A bit past prime musty at first but opened up nicely with some eucalyptus and soft dark fruit — 8 years ago
1990 vintage - one of the beauties of coming home to check out your cellar - reminds me of walking the Yalumba cellar years ago. 1990 I was still at high school... brambly, compote, leather spice, black olive w spices nutmeg cinnamon. Still a youngster xx — 9 years ago

Incredible rich Shiraz — 10 years ago
Dark purple. On the nose there is ripe plums, blueberry, pepper and wiff of oak. On the palate it's full of sweet dark fruits, some vanilla, pepper and mix of granberry and lingonberry that comws up towards the end. Tannins are fine if a bit drying and wine has nice structure and acidity that keeps it fresh. This could be from southern france. Great qpr — 3 years ago
Surprising complexity of flavor on the finish. A little jammy — 7 years ago
So good. Liquorice, dark, bramble, warm. — 4 years ago
Medium bodied with zesty citrus and underripe stone fruit. Crisp, clean, and petrol-y. — 5 years ago
Amazing wine......drinking with Rob K who just got promoted (again) to Full Prof (yes the spelling of Full is correct).....at this rate he will be Dean of the Faculty by August. Wine is a wild mixture of petroleum, chocolate, toffee, blueberrys.......everlasting finish......for a 2002 this thing is hitting its prime right now — 7 years ago
Thick. Luscious and got plenty of legs. Love this blend — 9 years ago
Huge, classic Barossa Shiraz--loads of fruit but a bit more balanced now. — 9 years ago
I love Dan Standish. He is one of the best winemakers. Lovely wine, very young. Blueberry and Red silky fruit. Full Bodied but not overly alcoholic, heat isn't obvious in this wine. Great length and layers of flavours. Big points from me 95 points. A producer I highly recommend! Typical sweet Barossa fruit, very seductive... — 9 years ago

1hr+ decant and could have used more. Dark red color. Interesting nose with metallic, medicinal tones that tingled my nose. Wine has massive strawberry and cassis; and is sweeter than I was expecting. Very concentrated. The tannins reduce with ample air and the spicy aspects dissipate with time as well making it more approachable. Medium finish. — 3 years ago
