Too harsh after opening; leather and dark olives. Next day cleared! Cherries and plums in balance with light oak. — 9 years ago
Makes sense that you could grow Grenache in the barossa valley, but this is the first I'd had. Damn. Beautiful ripe fruit, delicacy of the Rhone, some leather and spicy wood. — 10 years ago
Thick. Luscious and got plenty of legs. Love this blend — 11 years ago
Old and just on the edge...but so so good! Just in time and I'm glad I was there...yup. — 11 years ago
Outstanding - menthol & chocolate with juniper berries in there somewhere - oak remains a silent partner — 11 years ago
Nice. Big fruit, but not as ripe as what I expected from a barossa Shiraz. Evolved with air. Finish only slightly herby. — 8 years ago
Very nice Aussie Riesling! Lots of citrus and honey notes. Some notes of slate. Very pleasant. — 10 years ago
Still solid red, only slightly bricking towards the rim. Nose is elegant, cedar and blackcurrant with a touch of menthol. Palate is smooth, beautiful weight and still mostly primary fruit; blackcurrants and plums with a hint of spice. A lovely bottle of well aged Aussie Shiraz. Top stuff. — 10 years ago
2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago
1990 vintage - one of the beauties of coming home to check out your cellar - reminds me of walking the Yalumba cellar years ago. 1990 I was still at high school... brambly, compote, leather spice, black olive w spices nutmeg cinnamon. Still a youngster xx — 11 years ago
Heavy Chardonnay. Very buttery. From Bin 608 in Baltimore — 13 years ago
Huge, classic Barossa Shiraz--loads of fruit but a bit more balanced now. — 11 years ago
Yes, it finally got its groove back. Too bad it's my last of 6 bottles. — 12 years ago
