Muy bueno. Cuerpo medio, sabores equilibrados — 6 years ago
Dark cherry color; translucent in visual appearance. Aroma of “earthy, dusty” fruit not cherry but more plum-like. High alcohol on palate and lacks acidity. Pleasant drink but a village Bourgogne from this year would eclipse it. — 7 years ago
A special solar eclipse wine. Buttery burst with lemons and green apples. Creamy smooth. Another hit from Arnie. — 8 years ago
Outstanding though a bit pricey. Drank at pre-eclipse dinner with the fam in Columbia Missouri. Brazilian feijoada with flat iron and tenderloin steaks. Hit the spot — 8 years ago
Pre eclipse treat - out of this world — 8 years ago
Great red, but quite pricey. Would get it as a gift or for special occasions, not for everyday drinking. Exceptional wine though — 8 years ago
Red gold body with a Matisse sketched white ring and merengue peaked, sheet-lacing. Clean citrus nose exhibiting clementine and dried pineapple, Meyer lemon and a faint funky-persimmon and lotus. There is something pleasant about the naturalness of the aromatics here with dried lemon verbena and Calloway seed. Orange and tangerine eclipse the lemon on the palate and add sweet grapefruit, and a clove note that tightly binds the whole. The bitterness being mitigated by the maple was brilliant here! Makes the Dogfish 90 seem clunky in comparison. I am a fan of this manifestation. Careful crafting and a simple solution to tune aggressive hops. There is no maple flavor btw. .

The first sip of this tier 2 Bordeaux blend had a hint of raisin but it has settled into a nice cedar balance. Dark, like an eclipse. Wonder how much cab franc is in this? — 6 years ago
Picked this up on my Solar Eclipse trip and really liked it - 2011 vintage — 8 years ago
This shining star was not eclipsed today! Smoky and yeasty with a green leather note, lemon, quince, almonds, star fruit and the memory of chive. A clean, dry ice, nitrogen aroma lingers. Brioche that transmogrifies to scone, with berry esters and edible orchid. Yeast will yield ripe citrus of clementine pith and lemon essence when agitated, but a cleanness abounds and gives this the refined austerity of a reflected holy light. Beautiful!! Perfection during the eclipse! Nero at ground zero! #eclipse #eclipsewine #metodoclassico #giorgi #oltrepopavese #bubbles #sparklingwine #blancdenoir #pinotnero — 8 years ago

Definite cab, would not have guessed Syrah. Very flavorful with blackberries, dark cherries, vanilla, cigar box. Not heavy though. Celebrating 2 years to the date of the eclipse. — 6 years ago
Small batch rum, fruit nose, dried fruit with vanilla and oak to taste, dry & not especially sweet compared to other rums. Sits above Eclipse but below XO IMHO. — 7 years ago

Maybe there aren’t any bottles floating around anymore, but I got lucky and snagged one. This is super juicy Tannat, which is not something I ever thought I’d say or hear. Dried cherries, super ripe plums, some underripe blueberry, a bit of funk on the nose. Graphite and leather too. There’s still great acidity which makes this gulpable. it’s an interesting wine, this mixture of dried fruits but bright and juicy acidity feels like it should be two different wines, but it’s not in any way disjointed or threadbare. It’s just got serious backbone, and long tannins. Like a northern Rhône Syrah without the floral aspects. It’s slightly meaty and spicy when first opened. The empty glass is restrained but all violet. I wish I could’ve had this a couple of years ago but it’s still really lifted yet soft tonight. — 5 years ago
