Coming back to this wine is like coming home after a long stay abroad. It feels so natural, familiar and cosy...
The nose is showing lemon and pear notes, along with chalk and a flinty thing. The palate is very well balanced, showing a great acid drive, a minerally mouthfeel with that chalky touch, some width, a powerful mid palate that powers a rather long finish up, that is filled with lemony and peary notes that goes on for a while, along with this chalky touch. This wine has good posture. The nose: vanilla and anise; grass and heat like the wet summer morning dew in the Ural Mountains. Best to give it some air. Don’t rush it, it will be forthe coming when it is ready, alas, will you be? — 5 years ago
